Pick 12 discussion.

Tigers taking time to decide whether they can make any of their supporters happy :p

Daniel Butler at 67.

Elusive small forward, needs to work on finishing according to Leon Harris on SEN.

Weller/Laverde & Neal-Bullen/Blakely

Guarantee that will deliver more.

Weller & Blakley was my go.

Francis Jackson, so cookie cutter.

How about we just wait and see what these boys have to offer before cutting them down.

Some of you clowns need to chill out a bit!!

Yep, i just don't get it. For impact those two will probably go top 5 in the Rising Star, I'm over FJ and his conservatism.

Here we go - Reece McKenzie at 77

Very good speed for a big forward, was expected to go earlier. Can take that 2 ways I guess. Cleve Hughes was supposed to go higher as well.

It is mildly amusing though watching the expert PRE scouts have a mild stroke over the picks though. :hihi

I said this earlier on this thread but friend from KFC advises following on Ellis

Ellis is a star.
An out n out star, great kid too, great family!
Just one of those guys who is actually a footballer, not an athlete. Smart, knows where to run, decision making.

And said Laverde is also a very poised user.

Lets see how it pans out!

Predictable ;D none of them have done a preseason or played a game yet.

I am with you BH. Sick of stacking our side with solid citizens. We needed to add some flair in this draft and by all accounts FJ was as predictable as every other year. Reaching when he should have taken next best available. Even worse if he actually believed Ellis (and no disrespect for the kid meant) was the next best. He should be sacked if that was the case.

Ellis was considered solid but some other kids were rated by most as better - yet we didn't hesitate to call Ellis as our pick. We do not need a team of mini Dimmas.

I feared the worst when West Coast snagged Duggan. :(

Our window opens next year, we should be injecting players who can make an impact from day 1. I hate to say it but the Conca over Heppell decision has been repeated, Ellis wasn't even rated in the top 16 by any other club, that speaks volumes. I don't mind Menadue but overlooking Blakely will be another oversight.

Laverde guaranteed will be a better and more VALUABLE type player than boring Ellis. Watch!!!

Yep, I would have taken Weller, Laverde, Garlett, Lever & Durdin ahead of him. Sometimes I wonder if FJ is in self-preservation mode, just reach in the first round and get a solid citizen, no imagination. Just look at what Wells just pulled off, an audacious trade and then a high risk, high return player like Cockatoo. We will be jogging on the spot now, out Jackson, in Ellis, no net gain whatsoever, no flare or polish on the outside for another 2-3 years either. As for Drummond, I hope he learns to hit up targets because some of his TAC form was very ordinary.
