Pick 12 discussion.

Just to keep people interested, here's Chris Pelchen's take on Richmond.

'they genuinely need midfielders with speed who can win their own ball together with an elite utility who can play at either end of the ground. While Corey Ellis has been linked with their pick No.12, anticipate them considering Jayden Laverde and Liam Duggan too.'

I dont get it. How does a player go from being the best in the draft and 48 hours out from the real thing drifts out to pick 4?

Injury concerns I guess. Or disinformation about injuries liek Selwood's shoulder or Heppel's split ends

Hi all

I dont look at the upcoming talent too much, and there are some quality posts on here that provide good insight/reading. From what I gather there is plenty of mid depth that should result in Pick 12 being quality pic to add to our HONEST group of mids we have. But do we show guts and look at Cockatoo

I read this just then " Cockatoo has been described as a six foot one midfielder who kicks both feet and can run hard all day with a great side-step move to avoid traffic and can accelerate away from anyone." Hard running. good kick, 6'1 - worth a punt you would think..... ???

Hip scans appear to be the concern, along with some average testing at the combine.

Gezzus, people ignoring his body of work on the ground, compared to running around hats and jumping at nothing. Not directed at you Bully.

If Melbourne ignore CP with their two picks, the AFL should intervene and shut the place down.

This draft is madness, pure madness, clubs running around terrified of actually having to trust their staff and make calls based on what they prefer as opposed to there being clear tiers of talent. I love it. Can't wait for tonight. I'm pumped for this. Some clubs are going to this sooooo wrong.

Poor melbourne have screwed so many early picks that now they're suffering analysis paralysis.

He is a Collingwood supporter. Smells like someone is playing funny buggers here. Dont be surprised if he ends up at the Pies.

Its history repeating for Melbourne all over again if they overlook him. First Martin now Petracca.

Well I'm hoping Petracca keeps slipping and we can pick him up with our first pick in the Rookie draft.
