Well I'm assuming you think we would take McCartin , Brayshaw, Petracca, Wright & Ahern. So my mistake, 6th best in the draft, I'm actually amazed that people have been so blindsided by the media, who has indicated that we would take Ellis under any circumstances? I must admit, if we don't take him the club could never be accused of leaking stuff to the media, it would be one of the best examples of smoke and mirrors I can recall.

I've no idea where the club rates him or others for that matter. Guys like Pickett, De Goey, Marchbank, Goddard, Duggan etc plus Heeney and Moore could all be rated ahead of him for all I know.

Watch them back track too, Pelican has just recanted yesterday's statement saying we'll be seriously considering Laverde & Duggan, that to me makes sense, the Ellis fanatics are feeding off one another.

No but a very large percentage of them are. Twomey and Anderson the most adamant. Might just be feeding off one another.

Twomey just won't let go, Ellis is his big scoop and he wants everyone following his lead. At least Emma Quayle doesn't pretend to have a definitive answer, she puts Duggan, Weller & Laverde in the picture, knowing full well that any of these guys could be ranked higher. The more emphatic Twomey becomes the more I realise he's full of the proverbial.

I hark back to what Richardson said that some managers are pumping up their players.
If that's the source some of these media types are getting then I wouldn't put much weight in it.
I reckon we have a few options pencilled in.
Ellis may well be one but I doubt Frank knows what the others are doing just yet.

Emma Q was on SEN this morning and basically said that Richmond like to take safe players and we need mids, so Ellis was the person who best fitted that description. Sounds like she has no intel, but rather has an educated guess.

Unless he has interviewed very poorly, GWS would be bonkers not to take Wright. Next year's draft is said to be light on talls so Wright's value is likely to have currency next year when GWS will still be trying to get to the point of having its entire list made up of first-round draft picks.
