Won't be at Collingwood in any capacity next year.

Would make a great senior mentor to Hardwick!

Hardwick - Senior Coach
Malthouse - Director of Coaching

Get it done Benny!

I reckon he will take next year off. 2013 will be the go. I'd love to have him at the club.

In his presser he was asked which club really felt like home to him. He went on to defer making a call but suggested that it was the club he played at - I had the feeling he meant the Tiges (not the Saints).

Yeah he needs to burn out the Scumwood disease in him.

Maybe. He would bring a lot of experience.

Doesn't tony Free have the director of coaching job?

Mick would cost a lot of money that otherwise we could sink into the debt

He will be in the media next year or overseas on a holiday .

Mick's an emotional character and a Tiger homecoming in some capacity would tug at his heart strings I reckon but I would think it would not be in any coaching capacity .

Mick will make a squillion in the media next year with his newspaper articles, on TV no doubt and with SEN etc.

The biggest and most professional club in the land don't even know what a Director of Coaching is, that's why Mick is leaving Collingwood even though he has a 3 year contract to be their Director of Coaching.

Director of Coaching is a nothing position, it was a made up token position with a fancy name just to keep Mick at the club and ensure Buckley took the reins eventually.

Malthouse would be fantastic to have but we would need to give him a meaningful job like an assistant or development coach.

Tony Free is a Director on the Board, nothing to do with the footy department, we don't have a Director of Coaching.

Don't care what you call him ... Should play a similar role as that played by Bomber Thompson at Essendon.

Bomber Thompson is the Head Coach. Hird is a puppet.

Think he will take a year off. Looks mentally fatigued.

Would love him back though in some capacity.

I'd like to think this scuttled Collingwood's flag tilt.

Hopefully Bucks send them down the ladder. Has to take them to the Granny otherwise its a fail.

Collingwood supporters slapping him on the back of the head on the way out.
They eat there own down at the Lexus Centre, sounds alot like a club across the road.
"got out coached, by a 1st year coach".
"didnt make any moves that worked",
"selected injured players"
"played out of form players"
Blah Blah Blah

Agree, reason for St Kilda being so quiet, for now.

If we thought Stkilda was a source of amusement this year, if Mick got the coaching gig it would be great to watch him coaching the physical therapist.

Your track record with so called "Inside info" are not crash hot scooty!

Why would he choose that rabble??

They need a rebuild. Micky wouldnt have the stomach (or time) for this!

Given that he added "and won a premiership at" I'd say he meant us.

Maybe, but St.Kilda couldn't even give Ross Lyons an answer after 6 months, so how would they move quickly on Malthouse?

Though it would be hilarious if they appointed Robert Harvey. :banana
