On the couch

If the Pies were serious about copying us they demand less free kicks.

Next one to copy us will be Essendrugs.
Does that mean no more slapping pretzels at half time?

Yep

Goddard will be "asked" to finger Point with a smile on his face

Collingwood are like those cheap imitation Calvin Klein perfumes you get in Bali. They look like the real thing but as soon as you open them, it just smells like *smile*.

Next Collingwood will be having a young one tell a joke at the half time break......

Watching Figgy all relaxed when to compared to the media pressure he copped earlier this season and before is a laughter.

Our defensive methods?

1. Draft the best backman of the last 30 years
2. Rehabilitate two often injured youngsters and watch them mature into hardened defensive beasts
3. Recruit a quarterbacking HBF from the bummers who left because they knew he wouldn't agree with their drug policy
4. Use the rookie draft wisely to recruit players with very high upside.

See ya truck. He's had the easiest coaching job in the whole comp.

If you read it again you will see that my post referred to 'defensive methods', nothing to do with recruiting which you can applaud, but it always involves a fair degree of 'hit and miss'. Most on here could name 20/30 picks that never worked out that well (Graeme Polak anyone?).

Other clubs are still trying to work out how our defenders roll off their opponents so well to create a free player. Just how we judge it so right and make it succeed. They're also wanting to learn how we rarely ever get caught out without a sweeper deep to mop up. Footy shows are just starting to get on to this now.

Would have liked to keep Truck. He's been excellent IMO.

The druggies are doing mindfulness this year.
Oraszio upon his resigning he stated how they all loved each down at Tullamarine.

Ring a bell.

Yep right out the RFC handbook.

Yep. They are like wearing your favourite pair of Lui Strauss jeans.

No argument Leon, Trucks been good.

Just saying its easier for a chef to cook a great meal when they get access to lobster and steak, rather than fish heads and carrot tops.

If you open a restaurant doing Surf & Turf, I'm there.

You can forget the soup option.

Real Richmond supporters would never eat steak and lobster!
Except when we win the Premiership which is exactly what I did at Richmond Oysters the day after the GF. Hope they're hanging the beef and setting the pots out as I'm going back to back!!

They copied us lock, stock and barrel.

Saying your doing something and have an amazing connection is easy, but saying it doesn’t make it so.
Actually doing it, establishing and maintaining genuine relationships is the hard part and can’t be faked.

That's exactly right what you wrote.

You can't fake genuine care, compassion & love for your team mate as shown when Conca got injured and looked like his season was over.

Right down to our coach.

Yep. Watch the manufacturing care the bombers players had when Dea went down and was stretched off. Just a week or two after Conca went down. You could see the genuine concern, care and feeling our boys had for each other. The bombers, well, it was a sense of duty type think. Especially Goddard, the last there and didn't even look at Dea when he got there.

Teams are all trying for the "connected" but it's something that doesn't come easy and must be lead by the Coach. The Scott brothers will never be able to exposure their vulnerabilities to their teams to get this connectedness going. Even Buckley will have issues.
