On the couch

To many forward half turnovers so we were launching attacks from the backline. Here's a tip Dimma, forward half turnovers don't hurt as much as the back half turnovers last week!

Hardwick Drinking game. Take a shot every time he says:

"Yeah look"
"Proof in the Pudding"
"Consistency of Performance"
"Key Indicators"

Throw in 'yeah its an interesting one..'

And '....within our four walls...'

And 'get the result we're after' and 'get where we need to be'. 'Fire away' for the pressers of course, and the ubiquitous dad joke to get the journos laughing along.

I guess he feels it's easier to avoid mistakes if he talks in various combos of pre-thought phrases. Word security.

Someone should make an itunes app, which is filled with combinations of Dimma's sayings.

The media can all just turn up and mash buttons on a giant ipad after a game, rather than actually having to send Dimma out to do the press conference.

He can instead utilise his time to come up with better ball movement patterns out of our defence, you know, see if all 18 players can touch it before we get inside 50, etc etc. Talk about efficiency savings!

Asked what the Richmond Way is he said he wouldn't talk about it on air.

... Must be some big secret magic pudding ingredient LOL.

He is ranked AFL No 1 for uses of "obviously" and "from our point of view", "going forward" and "more importantly".

Said he didn't think the sling shot footy, like North Melbourne does will be something to continue with. Why not? Opened our forward line up and gave all and sundry a chance to lead to open space, crumbers to crumb, Jack to be one on one McBean room to move which dragges players away for a better uncongested contest and better goal to inside 50 ratio. But because we lost the inside 50 tally he doesn't like it! Come on Dimma give your forwards a chance every week and I believe we will win more games. It will even help Ty stay in the team because he will be given a better chance to beat opponents one out.

"inside our four walls" is his mantra . How about " due to him stinking it up for well over 12 months it is with much regret that I announce that there is no room within our 4 walls for Morris " :clap

He said pretty much the same thing after we beat St Kilda in a shootout at Etihad that was the best match I've seen in years: "We moved the ball too quickly!"

But let's go back to that World War I brand of trench warfare. It's worked so well for us so far.

Hardwick will stick to his plan until Hell Freezes over. Containment, Ball security football regardless of the Team attributes - he only reverts to a free flow attacking Game when his nuts are on the line - That says everything about Hardwick right there.

His most common saying that doesn't get quoted on here is '...but everyone else is the same/it's no different to everyone else...'.
