Money hungry Greg Inglis has signed with Souths for 3 years subject to him being granted a release from the Storm.

Don't begrudge Souths but disappointing 'form' from Inglis...I hope Melbourne hold firm re the outstanding legal fees . Inglis should acknowledge the help of the Storm & its agents in getting him through tough times etc. Contrast his position v Monaghan (admittedly abjectly stupid) but...

Inglis belted his girlfriend & missed 2 weeks,Monaghan has to play os next year.Pretty harsh.

Well done to the Kiwis last night who beat the Aussies.Tim Sheens leaving Boyd out for most of the series was a disgrace & despite Petro's average form l would have had him in the side.Might be time to look at Carney for the no 6 jersey & look to the future.

No argument there , mb.More disappointed in Inglis &/or his 'entourage'..

Russell Crowe needs to learn how to conduct an interview from MB64

apparently its not a good idea to tell Jay Leno on national TV that you are paying Inglis $600k per annum, when your official submission has him on less

Souths are trying to pull the Jedi mind trick though "there is nothing to see here, the contract meets the salary cap, these are not the droids you are looking for"

not surprisingly NRL are not exactly making negative noises, and looks like it will be all sweet

cannot help but wonder what would have happened if Crowe was wearing a purple jersey instead of the freddy kruger one.....

Yep,sure the NRL will register the contract.Would think Souths are cheating the cap with a few players.

Demetriou has come out publicly and said there are no efforts to get Greg Inglis to AFL, guessing that the conversation has already occurred a month or two ago and Greg ruled it out completely.

Would have been good to see though.

Geez Inglis is looking unfit,he couldn't run out of sight in the fog.lf he was fully fit he'd be some chance to play AFL.

He sure does. His effort in the sprint race against Usain Bolt was a shocker as well. Something looks very unhealthy with GI and it surprised me how easily the Broncos gave up the fight to secure him. Maybe they know something the Rabbitohs are overlooking. For GI and the NRL's sake I hope he comes good soon.

Got married on Saturday, bit of wedding cake etc would have probably given him another couple of kilos.

Expect faveourite son Dane Carlaw to return to the Broncos in 2011 after another failed move to the UK for homesickness.

Canterbury have again recruited well with Aiden Tolman and Greg Eastwood to add toughness and skill to the dogs forward pack.

Frank Pritchard joins them but as we know he can be a world beater or a hinderance.

Of interest for the Dogs is who is gonna be Fullback, will Steve Turner have a go as he did at Storm or will little Ben Barba get the job, he is very small but Presto Cambpell has done ok in the role at FB.

Brett White going to the Raiders gives them a massive forward pack for the likes of Dugan, Vidot, Croker, to run off, Learoyd Lahrs, White, Shillington, Picker, and of course Bronson Harrison and Tongue makes for good field position.

Shame for the Raiders is that Campese injured his knee, without him they wont threaten the way they could have, and the Raiders should be pushing for a title in next year or 3. Had they snared Craig Gower that wouldve been a good result for their halves which is the Raiders only real weakness imo. Herbert ok but without Campese they are thin.

Inglis best dayscould possibly be falling behind him, which is a silly thing to say on the surface but he's blowing out has dodgy knee and seems to have had his focus hijacked, im tipping he will find it a bit harder to perform without his class teamates from the Storm but moreso he will miss the strict guidence and direction and discipline of Bellamy and the Storm family.

Cronulla have a top forward pack going into 2011, and if Tim Smith gets fit and firing he could well lead the Sharkies to a improvement this season, Smith will get assistance in the halves from Penrith young Gun Wade Graham who has crossed to the Sharks and the forward pack will get a huge boost from gaining former Stormer and Dragon and Kiwi hardman Jeremy Smith.

Jeremy Smith, Paul Gallen, Kade Snowden, Luke Douglas, Mellington, Aiton and Anthony Tupou makes for a very good pack.

Souths will be expecting huge results in 2011, with a side containing stars in Inglis, Taylor, Burgess, Asotasi, Luke, Sutton, Crocker and Merrett alongside solid citizens in Geddes, Ross, Stuart and anything but a finals appearance will be unnacceptable and the Bunnies will not want a repeat of their bad luck with injury in 2010.

Another year closer to the return of the Bears !!

2011 gonna be even better than 2010 cant wait.

Tigers are my early tip to challenge the dominance of the Dragons in 2011 on the back of the Benji explosion.

Bulldogs, Shraks and Warriors will all improve but who will drop, will the Storms patch up list be competetive.

Was told the other day to expect a name or 2 to return to the Melbourne STrom in the next 2 years when the salary cap is no longer an issue.

Greg Inglis himself has stated his interest to return to the Storm and Ryan Hoffmans UK contract will expire on time allowing him to return also. Great to see Dallas Johnston return to the NRL but with the Cowboys not Storm, as a Nth QLD boy Dallas should do well there, and his work ethic and attitude is just what is needed up at Dairy Farmers.
