NRL

loudest storm game I can remember

23900 at the ground, and the atmosphere was almost like a final

be interesting to see how we follow it up over the next 4 weeks, but hopefully this will backfire on the NRL, and instead of dissolving the Storm, this will unify its supporter base behind the team stronger than ever

Agree, was great to be part of it tonight

Havn't posted here for a while, sad week for the Storm, and interesting times ahead,

and i'm talking about the playing list for next year,

I cant help but think we will lose one of the big four , Sater, InGlis, Smith and Cooper,

My tip, Inglis to be a Bronco next year, and we also lose, Quinn, Finch , White, Tolman and Lima .

hate to lose GI, but that seems a likely call (your mix)

interesting the AFL is making a major play for Israel. Wondered why the expected Rebels announcement didn't happen today

Under the current salary cap system( NRL) , it is a promotion of mediocrity,

We will no longer see the great teams, parra 80s, Manly after that, Raiders then the Broncos then us etc,

Under this system it is designed to keep all teams down to a poor to average standard,

There is no room to have more than a few excellent players ,

So if there is too much talent availible in the talent pool , clubs cant afford them , they have to look elsewhere, union or overseas,

NRL is fast becoming a 2nd tier sport, some will say it is already , talented athletes in their teens will soon be looking if they aren't already, at other sports before choosing league, even in Sydney.

Spot on Kiwi

Aust v NZ test this Friday night at new stadium. The game is a sell out.Expect Aussies to win comfortably.Kiwis have a few players missing.

Storm copped a hammering from the Broncos today in new stadium.Bring on 2011.The playing for 0 points will become harder every week.

Word around town is the sanctions imposed on the Storm will be challenged.A QC has stated the NRL has acted outside its own rules & is preparing a writ on behalf of the players.More to follow

I can't find the thread about this now...however. This is exactly what I predicted.

On most sporting websites, hope they follow through with the action.News Corp should have supported this but are likely to sack directors if legal action is launched.Gallop & News Corp should hang their heads in shame along with Waldron who appears to have created this mess.
