Two things I'm tipping - Brian Waldron won't be on KB's show tomorrow and he won't be at the Melbourne Rebels for too long.

That's what I was thinking too. I'll be listening to KB now to see what he says. This moron must be hiding in a cave by now.

I doubt it was well. Sponsors will pull out, players will leave, Bellamy will probably go, and it was already losing a lot of money before this.

Noise from WA earlier in the week seeking another crack at NRL. If the Storm went under wouldn't be surprised to see it resurface in Perth.

Heard the same Marella, but reckon they are a long way off unless the NRL and News Limited pump in some serious coin.

Disastrous day for the NRL biggest moment since Super League tore the game to bits.

Melbourne will struggle to survive, fans wont go to games that are meaningless, some players may walk mid season if possible, and doubt the strong off field group will be able to go on as has.

They will now lose at least another 2 big names.

If the Storm go under the NSW public will be in rapture even though it compromises their national aspirations.

All things considered the Storm were a marquee club, and a successful one, now we know how theyve manage to hold it together.

Modern nrl cap doesnt allow for domanance for more than 3 years the way players are paid.

The NRL is partly to blame with its crap salary caps, however the fact is the income for NRL clubs aint on the same level as AFL clubs, plus they dont pull money through the gate and via memberships as AFL clubs do.

Dont discount a WA effort in getting up if the Storm go under in a year or 2.

The Reds are already 2nd in oine behind the Bears as an expansion side.

Id be happy to see the ol Bears back for hardcore traditionalists it will be great but id rather the Storm than the Reds.

Central QLD consortiums will be happy with the latest news also.

How is it that ch9 / Packer / Gyngell darlings Easts seem to avoid scrutiny yet are always making plays at contracted/uncontracted players & coaches year in , year out ?

Good question mj,they're protected

One thing the NRL cannot take from the Storm is the World Club Championship!

According to Cam Smith the players want to band together and take % pay cut to bring down salaries to cap ceiling. If they do ASAP they can then appeal to get points for remaining 2010 games. There has to be concerted efforts by club, News Corp and NRL to stop the haemorrhaging quickly. Otherwise the fans and Victorian NRL future will be lost forever.

Agree Mr Sneeze

Good to see supporters show up at the new stadium and standing firm for the club.

Bellamy says we will survive and build again.

Heh heh heh......*smile* you Sydney.... ;D

I may even buy a Storm membership.

Rumours about Billy Slater and possibly GI joining the AFL could be more realistic than I thought.

The Storm are an angry bunch this evening...

Its great hearing the crowd making heaps of noise at the Dome..

Slaughter at the E. 22-0 in front. Go Stormers.

Now they're trying out the kids just like us in what virtually have become practice matches now.

Gotta love the 'dummy pass duo' with Billy and the Cronk. Brilliant.

Great win to the Storm and as the late, great EJ said....."STICK IT RIGHT UP 'EM" ;D
