Are you alright mate? You seem steamed up about all sorts of aspects of this case and you are attributing comments and arguments and positions re. this particular case to me that I haven't posted.

I never said anything about Johns' job for example.

What's with all the bizarro smileys? Are they for real? Are you able to put forth a view without rushing all over the place?

And do discussions of morals etc upset you? Is the law the only thing that counts?

Lots of questions, I know, but you seem very irrational over quite a number of threads.

I am not attributing comments to you at all.
But your line about "its not a healthy situation" is a weak one when we have a bloke who has lost all his jobs due to his actions plus the one of the woman.

I don't give Johns much sympathy for his adultery.....but that is between him and his wife.
What has happened outside of that regarding his employment is just people jumping on a political correct moral bandwagon....and its a joke, to be honest.

Morals are like opinions are like *smile*s....everyone has one.
Its why we have LAWS in place to try and keep a balance between good and bad.
And yes, thats all that counts when we have a case such as this.

Anyways, I am sure the people who are into rugby don't want this thread hijacked with moral arguments so you can have the last word on this and the Storm fans and rugby fans can get back to talking about packs, scrums, and blokes with boof-heads! ;D

there are two issues,

legal and moral,

It was'nt illegal,

Was it wrong morally, probably, judging by the reaction,

but then how do you judge these things, just because they may not be your scene,

I personally would't find it sexually appealing, and would have concerns for a girls mental state that would want to get involved,

But I think Johns is a victim here as well,

as much as the girl? , possibly.

He made a mistake, and he has been singled out and is paying for it , big time, while the other guys involved so far, are getting off scott free.

I think because he has been such a likeable and popular charactor, it makes it a bigger story, if he was already a noted bad guy, we would'nt be hearing much about it , especially that it was 7 years ago.

This story is more about Johns, than the incident itself.

Totally agree KiwiTiger! :clap

In last nights games The Broncos defeated the Titans & The Dragons had a contraversial win over the Doggies with a late try from the Doggies disallowed.

Is a "power inbalance" illegal?

No but it raises questions about the legitimacy of consent in this situation. Given the power imbalance, 12 to 1, how could she say no? She consented to a threesome no more, not to have 10 more suddenly appear, have some of them start participating, be watched having sex, have them all masturbate over her and slap her with their penises.

Johns is no victim, anyone with any reasonable sense of propriety would know it was wrong once it began escalating.

Saw the replay of the disallowed try,Doggies are very stiff.Staggering how Steve Clark could even possibly consider a no try.Rob Finch in charge of refrees admitted the decision was wrong.

mmmmm

Dissapointing MB but what even more dissapointing was the Cowboys touching up the Warriors at Mt Smart.

Ruined what was a big chance at 8/8 for me this week.

$#@^$@@ Clark ........ oh well.

Bunnies pip Tiges in the end today , will be watching the replay of that one on 9 tonight.

Both AFL & ,particularly NRL Tigers, threw away wins today.Credit to Souths for hanging in but Tigers should have really put them away upon surging to a 12 pt lead with 30 mins left.Tigers have let slip winnable positions in their last 2 outings which will likely prove very telling at then end of the home & away season.S'pose it pleasing to have 30k crowd at the game with purists contending 'league the winner' but means nothing when you're 2nd on the scoreboard after 80 minutes.Millionaire football may look pretty but often fails to secure rewards.Lost on me why teams don't try & play basic league, catch, draw your man & pass rather than hurl exocet head high cut out balls.Highlight reels don't often portray a true picture.

Warriors losing was a big upset,Clark will be stood down this week & so he should. As MJ pointed out Tigers threw away a 12 point lead against Bunnies.

Clark has been a *smile* ref for years, Harrigan in a wheelchair wouldve been more effective.

Willie Mason snapped by a punter taking a leak on a wall on Sat night after the Roosters whipping.

Just goes to show how dumb these clowns are ..... fair dinkum Willie how many times now has he been done for pissing in public fair dinkum.

NRL is fast making itself unnatractive to the masses.

Storm thumped Raiders 46-6 in bundy night footy.Whilst Storm looked good the Raiders were woeful & even I could have scored a try against their woeful defence.

With such a good list of kids and some real quality players i think the biggest cause of the Raiders *smile* form is the loss of Henry.

Yep Raiders were crap - and hopefully for Storm have allowed them to regain their mojo.

The ceo's son is the coach of the Raiders. How come he got the job?

Ive said it for ages this bloke is a dead set mental midget - another overpaid imbecile that cant control himself whether it be fighting, drinking and now allegedly using other illicit substances.

Fair dinkum getting the likes of he and Willie (must *smile* on a wall in public view) Mason outta the Dogs was a great result for Canterbury no doubt.

Fair dinkum whats wrong with these clows ffs im am sick of reading about morons that are on such exorbitant wages behaving like dead set inmmature lil boys and imbeciles.

Maitua is a dud and just another nail for the fast becoming an irrelevant laughing stock NRL, also more bad news that the ol Sharkies didnt need either.

Geez the NRL commission will be praying nihght and day for a huge origin series to try and gain somthing of a reprieve from all this stupidity.

Notice to all NRL players surely to god, now is a good time to keep a low profile and pull your heads in and behave like normal human beings.

maitua eh ..... why am i not surprised one lil bit.

have to admit reading the NRL pages of the paper today was bloody depressing

I know we are not at the centre of it down here in Melbourne, but what is the feeling in Sydney? Personally I'm just stunned that everytime you think its over, something else bobs up. It just seems the game keeps copping smacks in the head one after the other, sadly mostly self inflicted. I'm actually missing the days where I was annoyed with the stupid trade rules they have (and losing Israel), at least then its was about the footy.

I'm just hoping (again) this is the last of it..... :(
