good call by the sharks, I reckon Friend has been saved only by the size of the fine ($10k for a guy earning $60k is a fair whack).

What is wrong with these blokes ffs.

Seymour was axed from the Brocs along with Costuigan and a coupla others for drinking indiscretions, yet now as a player who has realised his talent and whom is now a senior player and on field general at the Sharks and critical to their prospects this seasonn has gone off and done it again.

Fair Dinkum what is wrong with these duds, id happily not touch grog for 6 months if i was on the money some of these hig profile blokes are on. It aint hard ffs.

I reckon the NRl is gonna start slamming some blokes to set a precedent.

Dogs looked like a Canterbury Bankstown outfit last Sattdy which was good, not the bunch of self important mercenaries of recent years

Well done Dogs keep it up, there is no doubt the Bulldogs are on a mission to return to their former identity and club ethics of the halcyon years
:fing32

The new Sonny Bill is far more exciting too ;)

News gets better for Canterbury with the Dogs pulling off somewhat a coup and signing Kiwi International and former Bronco Greg Eastwood.

The Warriors were hot favourites to sign Eastwood but apparantly joing his former Bronco team mates in Ennis, Hannant and Stagge swayed Eastwood to go to Canterbury.

Looks like the Dogs are gonna be in line to purge the recent problems well and truly.

Jamaal Idris .............. WOW ..... Sonny who. ;D

2009 shaping up to be a pretty good year Craig

Hope your right Mb.
Anything is an improvement on last year but the bad blood has been let from the club hopefully, mind you still some suspect indivuals still their ie Utai and Roberts.

Im more impressed by the way the club has gone about changing the dynamics of the joint and getting in solid citizens and some leadership.

Apparantly off season alot of time was spent with the players interacting with Canterbury greats Baa, Halligan, Smith, Dymock Mortimer etc, and getting a feel what Canterbury Bankstown was as a club and what they stood for.

Moore as coach holds strong to these ties and i believe its half the reason he is coach to be honest.

A conscious decision has come upon to revert to the Canterbury of old and change the poor perception of the club over the past 5 -6 years.

Hopefully they stick to it and can once again be a proud club.

If only they had a no *smile* policy for their fan base.

Big game for the Storm this Friday night,

And I fear an ambush,

Storm look a little underdone with a combination of injuries and inexperience,

And the Broncos look to be clicking into gear,

Although our record is good up there, the intimidation factor does'nt usually bother us,

I'm a little concerned with this one.

Me tto Kiwi,I banking on our recent success against Broncos to get us over the line. Not confident though.

Looking forward to having the game on live tonight :fing32

Sorry boys but ive tipped the home side (cos its in brizneyland).

Should be a good game.

Storm down 10-8 at half time, think we've used too much petrol as Broncos have had a mountain of possession. Some ordinary ref call against us.

Looks like we are even Mb - I got the Broncos but missed out on the Bunnies.

2 refs will disollusion some nrl fans maybe with all the penalties.

The game has sped up that much already that the days of the ol 110 kg hulking Props has come to an end i reckon.

Thought the Eels would win,Storm unlucky great 2nd half dominated posession but couldn't put enough points on the board.Wallace try was a disgrace with a clear knock on in front of the ref by Gorrell.Storm's defence is rock solid but attack need tweaking.

Sadly MB the Storms attack needs Folau mate, not to mention Cocker, Cross and White.

The Storm must get Inglis outta 5/8 he is wasted at the face of the ruck and the Storm are soft out wide without him in the centres, i will keep saying it ad nauseum.

Life without Izzy,

In a perfect world it would be good to still have him, but Izzy putting his hand up and saying he wanted out made a very tough job alot easier for the Storm front office.

they had Smith , Inglis, Slator, Folou, Hoffman , Dallas (the first 4 attracting the big money offers from other clubs) plus some of the lesser names all coming off contract and because of salary cap restrictions , they were never going to keep all of them , if they had've signed Izzy, I think Cameron Smith would be playing else where right now, i would take Smith for his 80 minute involvement.

And if we take our storm caps off for a minute , the salary cap , although a pain in the arse at times , does achieve its goal of giving an even competition, and thats what we have.

Back to last nights game, I was prepared for the Storm to take a step or two back this year before they go foward again, and although dissapointed in the loss, I dont think its all doom and gloom,

Their defence is top notch, the attack needs more work, and in the last 20 with hinchcliffe on and playing dummy half, Cam in the halfs, it started to look a bit better. Its eary days, we can get better, and what gets overlooked, this is a very young team, Slator and Smith are the veterans at 25.

And how bad was that knock on which led to a try, not good when you lose by 2, Brisbane should think themselves vey lucky to walk away with the win.

Spot on Kiwi, how 2 ref's missed that knock on is beyond belief.Broncos were lucky to get the 2 pts.Storm attack looked much better when a fresh Hinchcliffe came on & he looks like he will be a great pickup for Storm.
