RUGBY LEAGUE PLAYERS SURVEY FOR 07

Johnathon Thurston - Best Player in the NRL from Lockyer and Cam Smith.

Jamie Lyon wins MOST OVERATED in a landslide from Nate Myles and Jason RYles. Yes Anasta didnt win it altho 4 times in last 6 years is enough i reckon. Maybe his peers feel sorry for him now hes in a crap team.

Craig Bellamy - Best Coach ..... no surprise

Brian Smith - Worst Coach ......no surprise

Manly won most Overated Team

Raiders most Underated Team

Biggest Hitter in game - Tonie Carroll (Broncos) .... no surprise.

Biggest Sook in the game ............ Brett Finch goes back to back (hardly a title no one would want)

Biggest Sledger - Willie Mason (dogs)

Player Most Likely To take a dive for a penalty - Paul Gallen (sharks)

Hardest Player to tackle - Tiger Taniela Tuiaki

Carl Webb again the player no one wants to fight with 53 %

Darren Lockyer - voted player as best ambassador for the game.

My tips for round 18

Eagles over Tiggies - sorry Melty and Jubey. Dead set toss of the coin job (only cos its at brookie)

Cowboys v Broncos - Toss another coin. Maybe the Broncs

Dogs surely to god over Panthers (another dogs bogey side)

Sharks over Freddies Roosters in a close one.

Warriors to razzle dazzle their way past the Dragons.

Raiders to prevail in the snow against Titans.

Eels to bounce the Bunnies after there belting last week.

Storm to embarrass the Knights at the Graveyard.

Almost the same Craig. I went Titans over the Raiders, and i reckon the Cowboys will get over the Broncos .... just, its a toss of the coin.

Broncos & Mnaly take out the Friday night games but Lockyer has a knee injury which could see him miss weeks.Waiting for scan results.

News just in Darren Lockyer has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee injury that will require a reconstruction. The Broncos until now were the team I feared most.Don't know if they can win title without him.

In tonight's games Doggies were upset by Panthers & Roosters under Brad Fittler beat the Sharks.Watched the Roosters game & they looked a different outfit under Fitler.Seems Chris Anderson was out of touch with the game these days.

I would have thought mb that Anderson's records since leaving the Storm would be deplorable, almost Paganesque.

Yes it has although he did make the finals I think with the Sharks in his 1st year.Since then it has been a downhill slide.

Broncos chances just gone with Loss of Locky.

*smile* Dogs ............... any *smile* danger they may ever beat that *smile* rabble from Penrith FFS. :veryupset

Stormers running out of serious challegers.

Only challegers are Manly, Wests and Dogs for mine but Canterbury wont finish in a spot that will allow them a fair shot at Storm and Tiges and Dogs in a similar spot dropping games they shouldnt.

Raiders & Eels win today beating the Titans & Souths respectively.I did go for the upset with Souths but not surprised with Raiders result.

I also went for a Rabbitoh's upset today. Pitiful. Should know by now that when I back the Tiges and Bunnies game day I'll dust a packet.

Heading off to Bundy night footy shortly to see Storm take on Knights.Should be a good game but expect Storm to win.

Storm thump Knights 44-0 in impressive display last night at the graveyard.Everything seemed to go right for Storm & wrong for the Knights.

Clint Newton a Keeper for the Storm next Year ...... he wants to stay and they should do everything to keep him.

Storm really are a formidable outfit, great recruiting, great passion great team ethics and NO PASSENGERS!

Apart from a great coach and recruiters i cant help but think that the fact the Storm players are isolated is to there benefit forcing the boys and the club as a whole to really be a tight unit with a wonderfully strong bond, thus becoming great mates.

This cannot be under estimated.

Even though i am Dogs fan (dont know how much longer tho :hihi ) i urge all unaligned Melbourne fans who are curious, or have even a passing or fleeting interest in the Melbourne Storm to get behind them 100% as the Storm will become a power club much in the same vain as the Raiders did in the 90s and the Broncos.

The NRL could not have asked for more than the Storm are giving them in a foreign state, in fact i reckon the Storm have well out done most peoples expectations since their inception.

The only thing stopping me from committing to the storm is the ownership of News Ltd. Solve that problem and I'm aboard.

Karmichael Hunt has torn his hamstring & will be out for a month.Big loss for Broncos after losing Lockyer for the season. My tips for this week's round

Manly
Doggies
Roosters
Storm
Broncos
Souths
Penrith
Warriors

Tigers , forwards especially, brushed aside easily yet again by far bigger opponents (Warriors).

Regardless of the outcome in next Monday night's Leichhardt fixture v NQ , we'll be just 'making up the numbers' until we get some size & power in the club , particularly up front, much like the RFC.
