Noah Balta - Welcome to Tigerland

Disagree.

He gives us structure.

Like Kmac, but different

Deceptively important in us being 4:2 during an injury tsumami IMO
With you Easy.

Let’s not forget he is 19 having played 5 games of AFL footy.

He is there for structure. In 2-3 years time he will be there to win us games off footy of his own boot.

I'm reasonably happy with the impact that Noah is making, considering he's probably only getting about 10 minutes game time a quarter.

As 22nd player in the team, I'm comfortable with the way Noah is travelling at the moment. He needs game time to get the timing, tempo n physical aspects of the game sorted out. He brings a handy structural stop gap to give big Nank a bit of respite each game. Every game he's played so far, there's been a couple of the famous almost nearly moments where he just doesn't quite get it right and a couple of times where he just rips a passage.

I did say he was performing a role but we all saw what he was capable of in the JLT game against Melbourne in Shepp, I'll have more of that please!

Agree. Him just giving Nank a rest is just about worth it alone. And he’s very competitive when he is at the bounces.

He makes a contest in ruck and while forward. Plug and play anywhere on the field really. Happier having him in the side at the moment.

Time for Noah, (Adonis), Balta to impact a game, you can only survive on good looks, chiselled body and athletic supremacy for so long ;).

you mean I need a Plan B?

The faster we can get 50 games into him, the better. Still contributing and even though we have a great VFL coach in McRae, will be learning so much more playing against the top tier of talent. 2 more pre-seasons and 50-60 games into him, we should have a player.

Agree, he’s going nicely. Reckon he does a lot more around the ball than he is getting credit for. He interrupts things for the opposition when least expected.

Some crazy expectations here.

I think he's coming along nicely; little steps forward game by game. Gets crucified by the Dumps though! They hate physicality. Has to learn how to play nice!

Almost seems to be a core requirement for the team. We seem to play at our best when we are creating chaos opportunities everywhere.

he showed promising form in the preseason, but looks like he doesn’t read the game and his fitness needs to improve.
Hopefully in the next 2-3 years he can become a quality 2nd forward

Article in today's paper says he has the highest recorded speed in the AFL this year (equal with Gary Rohan) !!

Balta is an underage (for his draft year) kpp/ruck that is more than holding his own in his second season. Probably averaging 8 - 10 possessions from about 60% game time as well as a goal a game.
Anyone not extremely happy with how he is travelling should look for other 19 yo kpp/ruck in the league playing seniors. They are very few and far between.
