Noah Balta - Welcome to Tigerland

Talk of Balta sitting on the bench is oldtimer thinking. Its all about rotations.
At a minimum he has to play 60% game time. Thats 20% ruck (giving Nank 80% )
He then plays 40% as 2nd or 3rd forward.

He has potential to play mid/wing. But does he have the tank? The experience (last year was either key fwd or key back)?
Has he been training with the mids and so knows the organisation and structures?

He could be a gun in time.
But this week we focus on winning games, which is a collective approach and all play their role.
No way he plays wing imo

If Balta develops too fast and his form demands a place in the seniors and he becomes an integral part of our team this year, what happens when contract negotiations take place?

If he is worthy of 500k per season due to his form for the next two years and all we have budgeted for is 250k we are stuffed big time.

We will have two choices, trade off a decent player to free up space or trade off Balta.
Weird way of left field thinking.
If he's good enough to demand a place and become integral to our side this year then he goes a long way to helping us push for another Grannie.
During his contract negotiations, if he's played well enough to be demanding $500k per year, he'll be getting offered a *smile* load more from outside so he'll be worth the dollars.
If we've only budgeted a modest increase yet he's played well enough to expect big coin, then there's plenty of roughage ermm I mean decent $250k a year players that can be nudged aside to accommodate an emerging gun.

Lots of ifs n maybe's for a youngster who's excited during the pre season, but there's one guaranteed way of stuffing up talent n that's to bury it. When he plays good footy you reward him by providing him with opportunities to advance to the elite level n test himself. When he struggles for form or forgets the team basics, you send him back to the magoos n both let him regain form n confidence at a level he knows he can play well at and you re educate him to rectify faults or inconsistencies in his game.

Higlet pretty much came out of nowhere last year n developed beautifully. Would be crazy not to allow Balta similar opportunity to grow if his form warrants senior game time.

Have a look at the size:

If Lynch plays, Noah is no chance ILHO.
I’d say your right, however I’m hoping he plays, think his the perfect back up Ruck to Nank, I don’t think adding Balta makes us too top heavy, especially on a warm Autumn evening, other then Astbury all our talks are very good below there knees.

More fitness to run up and back all night. He doesn't have that yet ILHO.

Our ability to cover the length of the ground for the duration of the match hasn't been compromised in two years.

Don't think it starts now.

And yet Balta played 75% game time in the 1st JLT and still had enough in the tank to take on Hunt from Melbourne and run away from him late in the game.

I'm really interested to see what role he plays. I have no idea?? Can't just cover Nanks from the bench.
Fascinating departure from the Premiership formula of 2 talls to 4 talls.

BALTA !!!! BALTA !!!BALTA !!!BALTA !!!! BALTA !!!BALTA !!!BALTA !!!! BALTA !!!BALTA !!!BALTA !!!! BALTA !!!BALTA !!!

Hope he is encouraged to take it on. Lots of expectations for a first gamer. Can do super freaky things, let’s hope we see some tomorrow night.

Balta was built for 85K + at the G, probably won’t even take the shades off.

Seriously thrilled his got a game, other then an injury everything would have to be a positive in his footy education playing tommorow night.
