Nick Vlastuin

Thought he did ok when in the middle - got several center clearances - not sure how well he did at ball ins and ball ups though. Cant understand whey the hell he was moved back to defence in the last though. Hope he starts as a midfielder for rest of year.

my thoughts. our middle work suffered when he moved.

Great in the midfield in the first half but imagine fitness would have got to him and had a very quiet 2nd half. But in first half was one of our best. I think the point being made is he showed tonight he can play midfield so why hasn't he had opportunities until now.
 
What was the point of moving him back. Don't care if he was running out of gas, he has step up sooner or later, we need his body in the middle.

Not much point continuing in the middle if you're out of gas. Also don't forget he was just back from injury. Let's be honest, he wouldn't have made a huge amount of difference to the result in that last quarter.
 
Dimma just seemed to say he was good in middle early but hasn't done it much and needs more time in there if it is going to work long term. So far so good. But then he said, I'm not sure if we will persist with it. Surely he's kidding. We absolutely need more like Vlaustin who can go through the mid field.

Yes, we can't have the guy who we recruited as an on baller get a go at playing on the ball and make a good fist of it be given another chance at playing on ball again.....
 
Reminds me of Selwood in the middle. We were much more effective out of centre bounces when he was in there.
 
Was one of the good things to come from the game tonight. Very clean in the middle. Absolutely need to stick with it.
 
Hardwick has NO idea. What a blonk. We absolutely need to leave Vlaustin in the guts and see if he can become a midfielder.
 
Thought he was good when played in the middle, but then was hardly in there after half time.
