Yep. If he never makes it to the midfield we at least have a very, very good HBF for the next decade.

I think this is what will occur. Except he'll be an elite HBF, not merely very, very good.

Awesome game from Nick tonight. Getting back to what he showed he might be in his first year.

Hard as a cat's head and good skills. Cool under pressure. Well done on your 50th Nick. May there be another 250 and a couple of flags at least!!

Outstanding game. Best game I've seen him play.

Took the ball off the deck and broke that first line.

Not with pace but with good judgement and sure hands.

From the very first time I saw him play I've thought he was a special player

He's a rock solid defender who makes the right decision every time he gets it

Think he came of age tonight, he was one of the few doing okay in the first half, too. Interesting that it was his 50th game too.

I did say "at least".

He is cat-like in recovery. First to his feet every time.

Following in Rance's footsteps in the way he goes to another level when the stakes are high in the last quarter. Great attitude.

He always manages to get little crucial touches that don't show up on the stats sheet, but are so telling in a passage of play.

Agree, best game tonight. Hard at it as usual but showed composure and time with the ball as well as some good incontested work.

I wanted him further up the ground before this season because I was worried about his defensive capabilities one on one but I was wrong about that. The thing I love about him is that he is so composed, his hands are really good, he keeps his feet and his decision making is first class.

Corey Enright is the right comparison. He is turning into the player who is just there in the right places at the right time making the right decisions. Incredibly valuable in the back half if you have a player like that.

I concur, he is a vital part of a very good backline. His disposal by foot is outstanding, he virtually never turns the ball over.

A long long long way to go i realise however he has Bruce Doull like attributes with his competing, balance, recovery and disposal, notwithstanding Doull was CHB. There's a lot to like about this lad. Understated and underrated. long may it continue. Superb game - stayed put when he had to and ran to space when it was the best option. Geez, can we clone his brain and insert it into a few others?
