Nick Vlastuin

If it was a soft tissue injury we wouldn't rush him back, but he's going to still be fit with only a broken finger.

No issue with him coming straight back.

Keep McDonough in the backline throw Vlas in the middle - I miss those bonecrunching tackles he was laying last year. Might shame some his teammates into making some :p

By my reckoning has 18 months of good footy left in him before he gets Richmondised.

Hey come on, Vlas is a fine young footballer and one of the few that nobody has anything negative to say about. I know you weren't denigrating him but at least let's try and keep one thread on here positive!

Agree he would be sensational in the middle if coach clueless stops trying to turn everyone into a HBF

Would love to see him in the guts too. Think he has so much more to give in the middle and would take more pressure of Cotch to get in and under.

I've called Vlas to head to the midfield multiple times this season. Maybe his tank still isn't where it needs to be?

Irrespective small bursts on the ball would be benefit our mids a lot imo. Has such big size and knows how to crack in and extract the pill.

Somebody has to say it. Nick Flosstone woulld be a very different player if Paul Roos were our senior coach.

I can forgive Nick Flosstone for playing the way he does under the excuse machine (Hardwick), but nah. A broken finger does not stop you running.

Flosstone was terrible in running when he broke that finger. Just a lad. Was a standard set?

To clsrify, who was the bloke so often 50m behind JACK WATTS?

Nick Vlastuin. The panacea. Couldn't run. Broken finger.

We're too slow? hahahahaha. We're bludgers. And we teach the young.

3 or 4 times had the ball on the break and handballed to players under the pump or missed the target. Needs to take the game on. Will be a top player but not as good as last year so far.

"Taking the game on" is against team rules. Not figuratively, literally. If 10 year players arent doing it, why should a 2nd year player?

Watched him carefully last night what a ripper. Hard and tough and skilled awesome player. Stood goodes for a while which is great experience and that cheat goodes shoved him in the back which caused hammer the injury.

Yes, young players learn from those around them. That's what's happening to Nick, hopefully things can change before we ruin another promising young player.

That running with the flight spoil on Goodes showed the steel balls this kid has. You can't teach that.

I just hope he doesn't concuss himself into an early retirement! He's already had a couple hasn't he?

Love him

Vlastuin is really starting to show his talent. He runs hard, tackles hard and is brave in a contest. A kid only in his second season leading the rest of the team by example. Is going to be a club leader in the not too distant future.
