Looks unsure of himself at times in 2014. Not having the impact of last year. At his best when he hits the ball with the intent of running straight line to goal. At the moment looks likely to hit the contest and then funnel out behind him. Needs to get that out of his game and get back to goal to goal running.

Like most of his team mates, perhaps confused with too much coaching science and not enough freedom to use your initiative.

He was very good in the first half, look out when he gets more endurance. Needs to be played predominately midfield.

Actually thought he looked good in the second half when he was playing in the midfield. Good opportunity to play him more in the midfield with McDonna playing back.

Thoughts people ?

Great in patches but looked very very slow towards the end and Murdoch really pulled his pants down in the last qtr.

I think he is sensational for a 2nd year player.
Did most things right and is very composed.
Yes Murdoch got one late but that's gonna happen occasionally.
Love his work ethic and committment.

Murdoch would've pulled most pants down. He's one of the quickest players in the comp.

He did a hell of a lot of hard in and under and running for 3 qtrs., not surprised he lost some pace. Will be a great player, reminds me of Voss at same age.

One on one he is one player I am very confident will come on top. Will be a super player.

Basic error when he got run down, should have smashed it downfield off 2 steps. However his efforts yesterday were great, never stopped trying and would have got a lot of confidence out of his work.

Should let him loose in the gym.
Looks like the kind of guy who could really back on some muscle.

The more I see him play the more I see Voss

Whilst Vlas looks like a find but Voss at the same age was unbeliveable nearly best in the comp with all attributes you want speed, skill, agility, leadership, battering ram and attitude. Vlas misses the speed but has good portions of the other attributes but not quite at the Voss level.

I reckon to half time he was just about our best player. Dropped away a bit after that. I still want to see him unleashed into the midfield.

Agree with this. I was sitting there feeling something between bewilderment and shame that a 19 year old could be our best player.
