Going under the radar. Has not lifted to future captain standards in Rancey’s absence. Should be in AA contention by now. Definitely tough and reliable but beige

Was obviously playing quite sore last night but once again put his body on the line repeatedly.
One player who just made it to the bye with his body held together with rubber bands and gaffer tape.
What a warrior.
So glad we have him.

I thought he started well but as the game wore on he was found wanting.
Speaking to a mate of his today.
The hip isn't flash.

Worst game he has played in a long time.

We desperately needed our leaders to stand up, for the first time in forever, Nick didn't answer the call.

I'm willing to put it down to his desire to play and he actually was only at about 70%.

Nick was hurt no doubt , the weeks break will do all of our players the world of good .

Definitely playing sore.

His inability to spoil Sloane when he marked 20 metres out from goal was un-Vlastuin like.

Started like a house on fire in the first quarter and very little there after. I were one that was surprised he played as he looked propier than Shedda at main training where both only run a couple of laps and that was it.

On the 7 coverage at one stage he lifts up his jumper and he had plenty of padding underneath, and not in a “Hi, I’m Stephen May you’re paying me shitloads to come to your club” way.

Copped a corked hip against the Cats, if i remember correctly they are not pleasant.

He has been carrying some type of injury all year.
He has been 50-50 to play in 6 games this year.
Big V fully fit is a reliable and gun footballer.
It just isnt our year regards to injuries.

I thought he was great tonight. Reckon he is underrated, even amongst the faithful to some extent.

He's a good football player, reliable in defense and is crafty on the rebound. Decent kick and tough.

Bit like a "Jack of all trades" type, but better than most in every category.

Worse game ive seen him play in a long long time and i love the Big V
He directly Contributed 3 goals to collingwood
Crockers goal.
Myerchecks off the ground goal.
Thomas goal.

Thought Nick was one of our best. Had him in my top 5.
He's absolutely rock solid.
27 disposals, 6 marks, 4 tackles, 8 rebound 50s.
Just an immense , super reliable footballer who is one of the first picked every week.

LOL really? . He was brilliant. Best game in quite a while I thought. 27 disposals, 13 contested possies, 3 inside 50s,8 rebound 50s,4 tackles, 536metres gained, 11 intercepts, even 2 clearances. Backline worked brilliantly, for all but around 10 minutes of the game our defence only allowed Pies 4 goals.

As an old Key Defender I'm biased but I am an unabashed Tigga fan, and also love Grimesy, Rance , Broady and Dave.

But like i said I'm biased.

These guys put the clamps on and provide the contest whilst Bash provides the icing with the other smalls.

a lot of strong bodied running through peak hour from Flossy. Just a big Mitsi Triton that didnt stop through the wet.
He provided heaps of drive and rebound. Ominous

I'd love him and Grimes to be in the AA backline. But generally the likes of Laird, Stewart or other fair weather front runners get a gig.
