You could put Flossy, Astbury, Grimes and Rance in the All Australian back line and nobody who had a clue would complain.

Tross is the General the Skipper back there does it all yet also directs the others ............ No mess no fuss, no frills.
Dave is the pillar that takes the Giants and does the heavy work in air .... no mess no fuss,no frills.
Tigga - hard tough, composed, a sweeper yet just as comfortable one on one, assured again no mess no fuss,no frills.
Grimes- Uncompromising, competitor, doesnt like being beaten will get down and dirty, plays on all types no mess nofuss, no frills
Broad - Can play as a tall can play on smalls, big aerobically, hard at it competitor, the cover man or a shut down no mess no fuss no frills.
Common denominator with these guys is they are all fierce competitors strong in the and at the contest and just do what it takes to get the job done, no clever stuff no pretty stuff just the hard stuff all straight ahead types.
The likes of Houli, Short, Brandon etc are the support cast that do the hard support running and launch the attacks.
Been a bloody long time since the RFC has had a defence that just stands up again and again.
