Vlas is not a back flanker, he's a pure inside mid who played off a half back flank this year because he was not fully fit.

Wouldn't mind Garner but I hope we go for Menzel if he's there, far, far too talented to pass up. Not like Heppel or Caddy. This kid could have been number 1 but for knee injuries. I still wouldn't be surprised if he ends up going to GWS top 3.

Yep quite sad really...you would think especially as Richmond supporters that we would learn, that it's just a kids name an a number read out on the night an we really have very little idea how good or bad they will be for atleast 2 years....some will be cruel led by injuries , some will struggle with the demands of AFL, hommesickness, it's endless on why some don't make the grade, others will grow a few cms , totally change body shape, thrive in AFL envoirement..... I love draft night like many others an have had the pleasure of been right amongst it, but geez patience is a virtue

If true, FJ has done a great job. Emma Quayles top 30 today has us linked to one player only, the big V. I'm with you Mr.M, i reckon hes top 20, not top 10. I'd be pretty chuffed with Garner and starting to get my hopes on Tom Clurry being at 32. Ive still got the same feeling on Grundy Pants I had with JR and TV though. The fact that port have 4 X 200+ (we'd only have 1 wouldnt we?) supports my gut. 4 more sleeps

Given we cleaned out our big man stocks, I'd think we feel we have a shot at Grundy.

He's also struggled to chalk up big numbers in the midfield, still big question marks as to whether he has the tools to consistently produce 25+ possessions a match.

I don't understand why we would get Garner at pick 9, he just doesn't excite me and the same with Vlaustin. I think we need to get a X-Factor player to become a serious premiership contender. I'd love it if we got Menzel, Plowman, Grundy or Macrae they could break the game open and use the ball effectively.

Personally, I'm not too fussed if we go Macrae, Grundy or Vlaustin.

As for Garner, I'm not yet sold on him @ #9.

maric and TV at 200 on the button. deryxxx doesnt count. Too much x-factor. Thats 2. One is a ruckman, one is a FF IMO. Lets bring in BG at 202 (end up 205/110? ), who will be peeking when ivan breaks down in 3-4 years. No brainer for me and im pretty sure FJ is smart enough to grab him if available.

I would take Lonergan ahead of Vlastuin, he's got the same inside ball winning ability but with better agility, leap, speed and goal kicking prowess.
