New clash jumper - reversed strip

Reckon the new premiership jumper is going to be a very popular item for years to come. The newer converts to the Yellow and Black will embrace it with gusto.

I don't think our clash jumper will ever change again. It has now become too iconic. The premiership jumper.

Guy I watched the game with yesterday (non Tiger) reckons the yellow jumper made it much easier to see the holding the jumper free kicks. We must've got 4 or 5 of them at least.

Yeah, heard that a few times. Made it very easy to see when the jumper was being grabbed.

100%. Totally agree that will happen.

Irrespective of the people's stance on the issue, at the game yesterday, I for one, at the end of the game, was glad the players in the end stayed in the strip/jumper they wore and played in. They'll connect with that jumper they wore and won the premiership in. It would have been wrong to go back to the traditional strip. Glad they decided to do that.

Maybe to relieve/rid/lift our club of any curse we have had, we had to reverse our colours (clash strip) to win that elusive premiership :hihi !

My wife said the same thing. It is very bright. Now we just need to get KB into one.

Embrace it now as part of who we are. Let’s do what the AFL wants to do by stealth but do it strong and boldly. Make it our away strip, even if there isn’t a clash.

We’re the only club to have won a Premiership in their clash strip, lets be be proud of it.

Over the moon the club won.
Still feel the AFL F up. "Do what the AFL wants in stealth". Stuff the f AFL. The most disgraceful thing the AFL has done to the club imo.
I hope RFC don't make it the away strip and retain only as a clash strip.
Sorry a premiership doesn't change anything for me. Don't have to embrace it. Each to their own.

Agreed. It is a great jumper. Bold, simple and iconic design. Now part of history. I can understand why we need to have a clash jumper but now this one should never change.

Eddie McG totally paid out on the AFL for the clash jumper decision and actually called it hideous and should never be allowed to happen again
I think Collingwood in no way would have allowed this decision without putting up a big fight
I understand it is now the jumper we won a flag in but I still would much prefer to have been wearing the traditional one

To be honest, after the first few minutes getting used to it, all I could see was our players out there running around representing our club

and so the tradition builds..

Someone said this elsewhere, it's how traditions start. I reluctantly had to agree.

Still think it was unnecessary and spoiled a premiership lineage dating from 1920. A price exacted by the modern AFL.

I would like us to win a flag in our traditional jumper next year so that I have a matching pair ;D

Heard him with after game analysis and said he gave a 4 qtr earful to a commissioner. Truly happy he did that.
Even Gil the arrogant sod mentioned he copped the biggest spray from a diehard fan (shop owner) in Richmond on the Front bar, and as Sam said to him u didn't give a stuff, pretty much acknowledged it. Kudos to Andy too hitting with "Do u inderstand why..", Gil didn't truly respond. Ramifications are to all clubs, with a no clash issue to be forced to change based on some bs.

fwiw Lets hope we go back to back and get a premiership back in our traditional jumper. Go Tiges
