NBA 2011

Damn...Durant owns Bosh, In a aftermatch interview durant said this.

"I was talking to my teammate and he decided he wanted to put his 2 cents into it. I'm a quiet guy, a laid-back guy, but I'm not going to let nobody talk trash to me. He's on a good team now, so he thinks he can talk a little bit," Durant said. "There's a lot of fake tough guys in this league and he's one of them," Durant added.

Rumour on the NBL front is Al Westover will be sacked as Melb Tigers coach today.
Westover gone despite 2 titles in his coaching reign.Pretty harshly treated.

Tough call on Westover....but going into the season with that player list was never gonna work.
Heads had to roll.
Agree, wasn't a great squad they put together.

NBL needs to be shut down stat...complete revamp headed by a new top line of management is required urgently.

The NBA playoffs are shaping up as a cracker...Difficult to see which way it will go.

Good numbers thrown up Aldridge the other night - has single handedly kept the blazers alive this season.

Miami @ Orlando tomorrow 12pm! Will be one of the games of year.

Good win by the Heat....I personally don't like the "Big 3"......Bosh and James run there mouth too much....Wade is okay.
ope they go out in straight sets.

But James had a blinder 11/11 from the field at one stage is impressive, Ended up with 51 points.

Bogut misses out on All-star selection for the second time in a row to Al Horford.
Horford is a solid good player but Bogut clearly had a better year.....don't underestimate the value of playing for a winning team.

The Cav's owner Dan Gilbert plays a huge role in their demise imo.

How? He was never going to sign Lebron after the Delonte West/Lebron's mum affair.

Blame the basketball people for not putting the right pieces around LBJ.

King james would never have stayed at the cavs anyway.
LeBRon is only out to please LeBron and the only way he can do that is to get a ring. The cavs were never gonna have the money to put the players in place to win one because the market isn't big enough. In the nba money talks and bulls#!t walks.

One of the great coaching stints in NBA history has just ended in Jerry Sloan resigning from the Utah Jazz. Probably had the greatest one/two combination in Stockton and Malone. 26 seasons he lasted, not bad. It's the Celts V Lakers today, go Celts, Ray Allen trying to break Reggie Miller's 3 pointers made record.

Well done to Sloan great coach, strange that he had signed a 1 year extension only a few days ago.

Spurs, Bulls, Lakers, Heat, Celtics, Magic ... they are all still in solid contention.

Don't think the Bull's are contenders........Mavs will be a threat.

Losing a quality player liking James for next to nothing plays a role........but is not the sole reason.

1. Anyone who thinks having a core of 6-2 shooting guards, Hickson, Varejao and 34-year-old Jamison would be a smart thing to work with moving forward is delusional.

2. Gilbert assumed James would re-sign with the Cav's,
That James would prefer to play with Mo Williams over Dwayne Wade. :help
Gilbert's ego led him to believe that the team that James (and Danny Ferry and Mike Brown) left behind would be worth anything on its own.

3. I know he was extremely mad at Lebron and still is,
But why in the world did he say that his Cav's will get a Championship ring before James at Miami?!? :rofl
No one should be guaranteeing rings period.

Rose could win the MVP, Boozer is one of the better PF's and rebounding machine, Deng is a solid contributor and has upped his game. When Noah comes back and hits top form look out. I think they're a big threat. Some good options off the bench too. Only problem (and it's a decent problem) is they lack a quality SG. Bogans can defend but not much else.

You wouldn't want to face them that's for sure, very good defensive team. Butler is a big loss though. They need him back for the playoffs, not sure if he will return or not by then.
