NBA 2011

As an aside, just watched the ESPN film "Once Brothers" about Vlade Divac and Drazen Petrovic, the Yugoslavians who made it big with the Lakers and Nets. An amazing story and one that sheds light on the conflicts between the regions in the former Yugoslavia.

Thanks for the heads up Freezer.

I love these types of docos.

Probably the best thing Andrew Gaze has ever done on SEN was to secure an interview with Vlade Divac when he was in Aust. a couple of months ago. Great interview (apart from Andrew Maher being a wanker as usual), he was on for an hour talking about that doco and his career. Its probably available as a podcast on the SEN website.

Yeah Freezer, saw that doco on the espn 30 for 30 series last year. is a cracker, though my favourite is about the college football player who looked like he would be the best ever, but ended up doing his knee and making some poor choices. He ended up playing a year or two in the NFL eventually, but was never what he could have been. Can't think of his name right now.

I know that you can pick up the whole series on DVD. Sawit in one of the Xmas fatalities last year. Spewing I didn't grab it.

They're also available to download if you're so inclined.

Ah, the same series with "The Two Escobars" and "Jordan rides the bus"

Great watching. Did anyone see the episode about Jimmy the Greek? Was wondering what it was like.

The name for this one is "The best that never was" about Marcus Dupree.
These docos are absolutely brilliant, even if you don't love the sport they suck you in.

Some other great docos which haven't been mentioned are -
"Catching Hell" the Steve Bartram story detailed here -> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Bartman_incident
"Winning Time: Reggie Miller vs. The New York Knicks" is excellent.
"Unguarded" about former NBA player Chris Herren is outstanding.

Definitely going to get the box set of these as you can watch them time and time again.

Thanks Stoobes the title and his name came to me about a minute after pressing send.
Freezer, will likely download, but a 30 film set is something that looks impressive in a box, so I will buy when I see it.

Heat win again in a tight one, 3-1 now and in a very good position.

Lebron injured in the last 5 minutes (sort of) - not sure if he staged a little or was genuinely hurt. Suspect there was an element of staging, as why would they keep him on if he was really injured?

OKC led 94-92 but failed to get the ball to Durant in those last crucial minutes, some poor offensive plays. Don't think it's over yet.

James will be okay...he one of the biggest floppers in the game so no doubt staging was involved.
OKC are GONE!!!!
They need a miracle no way they will win 3 games in a row.

James Harden who flops most possessions is one of the worst in the game. LeBron isn't who's flopped only a few times.

Anyways, If one team could win 3 in a row against the Heat it's the Thunder especially if their jumpshooting clicks. Can't see it happening though. Heat are too hungry and determined after last year. LeBron is not going to let it happen again.

Agree it would be a miracle to win 3 in a row but if they can win the next game the rest of the games will be at OKC...

Regardless if they lose they have still done very well with such a young core of talent.

Scott Brooks has been a big reason for their success too IMO.
