Nathan (Axel) Foley [MERGED]

Was surprised he's only 26 - losing him to injury was one of the key factor's that led to our run of poor form. A major bonus to get him back fit and firing for our push to the finals next year.
 
Gun midfielder, very underrated. Well done Axel, here's hoping you heal fully and rip the opposition to shreds next year and beyond...
 
Our best performing rookie in recent years. At least until The Gus Bus becomes the premier ruckman of the league.
 
Good ol loyalty type deal from both parties IMHO....hope Axe can reward the Tiges faith in him, no doubt he will if his body stays sound

Fantastic, let's hope he does get through a full preseason, because next year will be 4 years since the injuries started.

P.s you should've/could've put a warning before viewing the Clip that Pettifier was going to on it too :hihi

one may assume there was no coincidence we dropped off after Foley got injured.
 
Hope so DDT. He's not a big goal kicker the little Nugget, but nearly every goal is a ripper. We miss that breakaway pace. Ability to win it in tight than accelerate away is priceless. He's like Judd without the hype.

I like to compare Foley to a mix between Lambert and Broderick, not a good penetrating kick but reads the play really well and has amazing hands. These comparisons to Ednie are not accurate as Ednie was an outside jockey in comparison. Foley wins all his 30 odd posessions every week and goes in very hard. He's not a light weight by any stretch but will put on a few more kilo's as he matures some more. Remember he had no pre-season at all and is Coburgs best every week which suggests he would be much better if he had one. He'll get his chance and when he does Tiger fans will love the way he goes about it.
