Most underrated player to wear yellow and black

Wayne Campbell.
Always seemed to live in Knighter's shadow & didn't get much love but was an excellent player during a period we weren't very excellent.
Little known fact he averaged 26 disposals in just his 2nd season of league footy.
Ultra consistent. We just didn't have enough quality across the board.

Campbell would've slotted in seamlessly to the 17-20 side.

A work colleague of mine is adamant to this day that under the laws of the game that was a throw.

Absolutely no prize whatsoever for guessing which team he goes for.
I feel sorry for you, Streak.

Having to work with a moron.

That angle is so good. It was a thing of beauty, football genius

Because it is a gif I have watched it over and over again and it is mesmerising
Absolutely, Sin.

It's the height of football I.Q.

Kane Lambert
3rd in 2017 & 2nd in 2018 in our Best & Fairest. Supporters of other clubs barely know who is.

Nick Vlastuin
Never being AA

In fact no as much love for AA honours in our premiership era

2017 Rance Martin
2018 Martin Riewoldt Edwards Rance (Caddy, Cotchin, Grimes & Lambert in squad)
2019 Grimes Houli (Martin & Prestia)
2020 Martin (Grimes & Vlastuin)
2021 /
2022 Bolton (Rioli & Lynch)
2023 / (Martin)

2017 Cotch Grimes & Edwards should have been in the squad
2018 Grimes unlucky not to be in team and Vlas in squad
2019 Prestia should have been in
2020 One of Grimes or Vlas should have been in
2022 Lynch should have been in
Anthony Miles was awesome for us in those development years. Got sqeezed as we got better and his career tapered off, I felt bad for the lad.

And I'll bet he was quite happy with the Ablett "flick pass" that was described as amazing. But should have been called a throw.

Chris Pym.
4 goals against Carlton night match 1988

I played a bit of footy with Chris Pym, really good fella, terrific player at our level.

One day when I wasn't playing but watching from the other side of the fence at Phillip Island he took a mark inside the centre square and the siren went, for half-time from memory. He was a right foot kick but was I think carrying an injury to his right leg. So when kicking for distance he had to use his left foot. Left foot torp sailed through the middle near goal post high, I would say the man on the mark was at least 55 metres from the goal line. Of all the skills in footy, the ability to kick prodigious torps on the opposite foot would be just about the rarest I think.

Without a shadow of a doubt Michael Mitchell.

If he'd played in any of the successful Richmond Premiership sides or eras - surrounded by classier teammates (he ran out with some truly awful sides)- he'd be looked upon/revered as a Tiger Champion/Immortal. Up there with some of the greats of the club. Sadly due to a number of concussions - we only saw him line up in 81 games.

I loved Mitch how good was he.

One of my favourites was Billy Brown. No. 40.

Good rover but almost permanently consigned to the forward pocket because some bloke called Bartlett was our No. 1 rover (and we know how rarely he went looking for a spell).

Still, Billy got to chalk up 130 games, 2 premierships (if my memory hasn't yet evaporated).

Mitch was awesome, but frustrating at times. The number of times he use to grab the ball in the centre, take 4 bounces, get around half the oppo, and miss the goal from 30 out.
Fastest player I've seen.

Bones McGhie, he was a man after my own heart.
Bones was important to those sides in the ‘70’s. I realised when reading Brilliance and Brutality (too young to appreciate it at the time) that so was Laurie Fowler and not just for cleaning up Nicholls in the ‘73 GF.
