Matt Coulthard

So asking a question is having a go at the club?
It’s footy not a dictatorship
You've asked more than one question, repeatedly mate. I wouldn't lose sleep over it, but does look like your playing the same track over and over... which is interesting when none of us know what's going on behind closed doors

What’s wrong with asking questions?
didn’t realise there some limit as to how many questions can be asked especially when the effort wasn’t there in previous weeks

This will shock you, but you should consider the possibility that Tim Livingstone has something to do with this, just saying

So, because you pay a membership you feel entitled to know about it every time Benny picks his nose or Ouzo adjusts his nuts then.

Just in case anyone was wondering. Young Matty was o.k. but hardly spectacular at magoos level yesterday so was probably playing at his right level.

Let me go through my posts
Can’t find anywhere where I asked if either Benny or Yze pick their nuts

Another player like Steely who needs to show improvement to stay on the list.

Matthew Coulthard (three disposals, two marks, one tackle)

“Much like Steely (Green), Matthew is a player that we've got high hopes for and probably looking for him to influence VFL footy at a much greater level than he did on the weekend. He played up forward and on a wing, but just struggled to really reach the heights that we know he is capable of.”

Can’t believe his form has dropped so much.
Both he and Green have fallen down a hole after being dropped following not much chance when wearing the vest.

The way theyve used the sub this year has been garbage and has likely been a factor in the drop off in form of these two lads.

Yep. These two are just kids and could well be having their confidence given a bit of a beat down.

We have four small forwards who have been underwhelming this year with one other in Junior who was looking ok before injured.
Of the four Mansell has got a two year deal so survived.
Coulthard is too small and not strong enough. Surprisingly he’s even lost a yard as well . I think his papers are stamped.
Cumberland is one game away from the same happening to him as last week was unacceptable.
Green has shown glimpses and is still young and should survive for another year as I think he lost a season last year. He still doesn’t excite me from what I’ve seen.

Another area on our list which raises question marks.

Green's 20 but Coulthard's 23 not quite a kid. While I'm a fan of giving the youngsters proper game time when they get elevated to senior level instead of just filling up the sub hole. I't shouldn't affect their capability of performing when they go back to VFL level to work on their game.
I know Coulthard had some injury issues over pre season n during the first few rounds, but I haven't seen any noteworthy performance from him since his return to the team. Quite frankly he was damn near invisible last game, so unless there's some sort of ongoing issue that he's dealing with, ongoing injury niggle, personal / family issues of some sort that hasn't come to light then I'm pretty disappointed in how he's performed this year.

100% agree. about the use of the sub. Not sure either Coulthard or Green have demanded games.

Coulthard is already 23. For a small he should be banging the door down at that age and he isn't.

Massive shame. He looked so promising last year. Thought we had a ripper on our hands

Coulthard's VFL form didn't warrant senior selection anyway. He was already in the hole.
