No forward pressure.

Mark the ball Broady geez. Twice in a minute he punched basically uncontested marks. Giants subsequently get one of their few non umpire assisted goals.

Agreed...our forward pressure has been abysmal.
 
Cummings, Hately and Green
3 new kids into an already strong line up.
That's a huge concern for all other clubs
 
Probably a good result considering we looked like we weren’t really trying. Haven’t seen the ball come out of our forward line that easy since 2016. We applied very little pressure in that area.

Giants kicking skills were exquisite. But they should be when there’s hardly any pressure on the ball carrier. It’ll be a different story in the second half of the season and finals.

Interesting pre season for us. Hopefully we’re ready to go and ramp it up in round one.

Plenty of positives I reckon:
We have 3 very good options for ruck
Baker is a lock .
Marlion just finds the footy
Dusty looks better than any other player in the league. It's not even close.
Caddy looks super fit.
Jacks going to get the second best defender each week and make them look silly.
And my favourite: we got Sydney Stack.... FOR FREE! (Someone help me put that GIF in here where the 3 guys throw their heads back and start laughing together)

To only lose by that much when we were destroyed most of the game is an amazing result.
 
Best part of Stacky's hanger was Bakes laughing directly into Greene's face....who took it well I must admit.

Every year there is lots written about pre season and every year it proves to be a poor guide to the season.
There is no way we will apply that little pressure in any game in 2020 and we got beaten by a couple of goals.
GWS are a highly skilled side but we know how to beat them from July-September.

I reckon the Giants were shitting their pants a bit late in the last. We could do anything to win.

I don’t think our intense style lends itself to praccy games.

Did enough today, got some good run in the legs and emerged reasonably unscathed.

We’re ahead of where I thought we’d be to be honest. Carlton have no chance.

Dow and CCJ both look great IMO.

Oh, and Cameron is an absolute dog.
