March To The Finals - 2020.

Noooo! That’s becoming a kiss of death.

Not when we're favourite, tim.

The suggestion that short quarters are responsible for higher TV ratings is an absolute furphy - but a sneaky one if there's any chance of it being used to prosecute a case for 2021.
Short quarters were introduced to protect players who might have to play games more frequently than usual (i.e. more than one per week)

Is there still a week off before the finals? If so, then i think the interstate game is a blessing. Means the players get out of the hub. The more thats written about the hub, the more its looking like a massive distraction & a bit toxic.

Getting out of QLD for a few days and spending some time in sleepy ol Adelaide is probably exactly what our squad needs after all the hub dramas
Are we flying in on game day?
I don't like that.

Think all interstate matches are fly in fly out same day. Though I saw that they are thinking of using Adel oval as quarantine base for indiAn cricket team as there is now a hotel attached to the stands...

If people think umpires don't influence games, just watch the Adelaide/GWS game.
Hocking has bent us over.
GWS didn't get free kicks,
They didn't get a score review
Adelaide got free kicks that Collingwood wouldn't get.

Who is that flog at Carlton, who thinks he is the next Wayne Johnson??
Pity he will be delisted

I’m a bit mad at the fixture
In hindsight I’d love to switch the WCE and Adelaide games.

then it’s really finals time Versus the big boys.

v Geelong
V WCE
Qual Final
Prelim Final
Grand final

According to the HUN we can finish:

1st if we beat Geelong and Adelaide AND Brisbane loses 2 games AND Power lose to Essendon and Collingwood.

2nd if we beat Geelong and Adelaide AND Brisbane loses 2 of it’s 3 AND Port beats Essendon or Collingwood.

3rd if we beat Geelong and Adelaide AND Brisbane beats 2 of GC, SYD and Carlton AND Port beats one of Essendon or Collingwood.

5th if we lose to Geelong but beat Adelaide AND Brisbane beats one of GC, SYD and Carlton AND WC beats st Kilda and North.

6th if we lose to Geelong and Adelaide AND st Kilda beat WC AND GWS AND WC beat North Melbourne.

Watch the tin arse Maggots pull out a win against the Kochies to screw everything up.

Gee Whiz wankers letting them back in it......FFS

In Adelaide I think assuming Port won their qual final
If we finished in the top 4, and port finish first. If tigers win and port lose, we play at tiger ground of choice. If the other way around most likely at AO, seems like AO is favorable for finals and a back-up ground for the Grand Final.

yeah I started to read that article and I realised I was forgetting what I had just read in the line/scenario above - it made my head spin

To finish 5th might be a plus this year due to the stop start situation. We play Catters then the Crows who have picked up the pump then a weeks rest before finals. Finals if in top four, win another week cooling the heels before the final run in. IMO once finals start playing week after week would be an advantage avoiding interstate games.

So we cracked Geelong.

Beat Adelaide next week and we can't miss third spot and the first final against the Lions. Geelong will go to Port Adelaide for the Qualifying final.

Suck poop Scotty

Could be a repeat of 2019 qualifying and preliminary finals.

Yes, assuming PA wins both games - should beat Essendon but up against a desperate Collingwood in the last round. But they'll want to avoid us probably so good motivation to finish top.
