Lynch !!

Without reading the thread not sure if it was noticed that in his presser on Tuesday Dimma said lynch is still only training once a week. He will ramp up to 2 in about a month.

We have been so careful with this guy we won’t see the best of him until later in the year. Despite that he is doing enough atm

He will destroy teams in the finals
We owe Collingwood a finals flogging.

Yep. Watchout for 2020.

His work rate is huge & effort can't be questioned. Is lumbering a little at times though IMO. At his best was quicker & more agile. Hopefully that comes with improved fitness.

For this reason would have been wise to rest him after a 4 day break

What I am noticing is that he's finding it a bit hard currently to get separation from his opponent. The acceleration isn't quite there.
It will come TOO.

Think of it this way, he is half way through completing a pre-season after 6 games in. We should see a marked improvement post the bye.

He's never been super fast, it was one of the reasons he wasn't a top 5 pick originally

Still dropping a few marks. I like his mongrel. Doesn't let anyone push him around. Has been well held last couple but we are bombing the ball a lot and expecting miracles. Things will only get better with Lynch and I can't wait.

I think he’s shown some of his best signs in the last couple of games, despite the goals drying up. Starting to clunk a few, and has been prominent in a lot of scoring chains.

With Riewoldt out for a while dont want Lynch as the only tall in our forward line getting smashed by 3 backmen
Need Nank and Balta to rest in the forward line when theyre not rucking

Oldie, this could be explained by the below excerpt I found on post PCL surgery recovery:

"When tested, athletes with a complete PCL rupture, who are back to sport, show some loss of acceleration but no loss of running or pivoting ability"

Our delivery is not helping Lynch as we're bombing it long and high where he's competing against 2 or 3. Jack can cope with this sort of delivery cos he knows how to scrap a goal. Lynch is a mark kick forward who needs better delivery.

Yep, if we could clean up our delivery into the forward line we would be a whole lot more competitive. This really does need fixing.

The delivery is bombed because opposition teams are clogging our fwd line.
Against Port Lynch looked much more dangerous because at times he had space to lead into and we often caught them on the hop with all their backs pushed up.
Would love him to offer a few more leads though.
Jack is tireless in this aspect.
