Lynch !!

I certainly perceive a anti-RFC bias in the media and i reckon we are harshly treated in MRP decisions in general (thinking back to Bachar Houli and Gil the dill's "Manifestly inadequate" comment). So I'm pleased that Dimma has stood up for our own after a media beat-up.

But at the same time, I didn't like the fake-punch TL made towards Collins after the incident. I'd prefer he stuck to being aggressive during play rather than while being antagonistic.

Well done ToO for picking up on Collins being the instigator!

Maher is a bluebagger toss bag. Said Hardwick shouldn't get personal. So what Schwartz said is that he'll win goose of the year. Fairly personal

Totally correct. What Schwartz, Blobbo and Mitch R. have said about TL was totally personal. I'd hate to see what was said on social media also just as I hope that the club and players don't bother with it or protect our players from it (must be near impossible though).

It's no wonder that players' mental health can be made so vulnerable in the AFL bubble where a prejudiced media agenda can easily become a destructive pile-on.

I think it’s great that Dimma stuck up for one of his boys. I think he’s taken a leaf from one of his old mentors Kevin Sheedy in the way he’s done it. Some of these former players in the media do need to take a look at themselves and their actions before they open their big traps.

Go Dimma

“I guarantee you, there’s a few players out there making comments, mainly I’m looking at David Schwarz here. I played a Grand Final against that bloke and within 20 minutes of the game he was crying. So he should have a look at himself at some stage.”

The tigers are building a wall, they have each other’s backs and the “them and us“ attitude will bode well with finals around the corne.

well said Leon where do you get the time and energy for this lengthy stuff
A very understanding wife, Merv ... at least sometimes. It's odd but I think she is just glad to get rid of me!

But not working currently with lockdown stage 4, virtually stuck inside in glorious Melbourne atm.

I think the footy and PRE is keeping me sane. :)

which of your multiple posts about me would you like me to address first?

While I disagree with your opinion on this, I don't begrudge you for your view. This is what a forum is all about, views and opinions. Power to you for sticking fat.

So true. My favorite Lynch video clip

Plus ironed him out and sat him on his arse when Dion kicked the sealer in the prelim. Diver had to sit on his butt as it sailed through. Front row seat to a failed campaign.
My favourite moment after Jacks tap to Dusty in the 3rd from that game.

Schwarz is very poorly informed for a media commentator. Anyone who watched Gold Coast games knew Lynch had a long history of borderline incidents (one involving Mitch Robinson) before he ever thought of leaving the club. For Schwarz to claim that this aggression has only surfaced in the last month is just mindless Richmond-bashing rubbish. If anything, Lynch has toned it down at Richmond.
Astute post, Lee, a key plank of the media campaign run from FOX to SEN et al was that Tom has only turned into a brute since coming to the 'thuggy' RFC. It was oft-implied or suggested.

Load of nonsense. So many of the great players do have 'white-line fever'. It's pretty obvious and necessary out there where you have to put your body on the line continually; this takes a heap of courage and serious dose of aggression. See the great Jack Dyer for one.

If some on PRE aren't happy with how Tom plays the game, but I am only endorsing controlled aggression as necessary, then I hear Tex Walker may no longer be wanted at Sadelaide.

Perhaps they can get up a thread calling for a straight swap at the year's end? No doubt would be a tough choice for the Crows. :D

So the media can be judge, jury and executioner and Lynch just has to cop their judgement?

Lynch himself hasn't said boo. Hardwick defended his player, it's what coaches do. And if it was uncharacteristically personal from Dimma, perhaps the media should have a look at themselves first.

What's wrong with that? In 2017 I cried before, during and after the GF :cupgold
In fact I can remember almost crying at the 20 minute mark of the 2017 GF first quarter. Then as the game wore on, I gradually gained my composure and laughed and then really cried through the last quarter.

Not sure Dimma should have said that only because it prolongs the issue in the media.

I am torn, Dimma clearly is open & honest & with that comes the occasional issue.

In saying that, Schwartz basically called Tom soft & Dimma just pointed out who really is soft

Na, eff it, I love it :)

Weather Lynch did something wrong or not is now irrelevant I believe, Dimma has made this us against everybody else now , made it tribal , made it one in all in , if possible made us even more united , what a night this would be if it was Dreamtime at the G , Saturday night should tell what effect the cheap shots from all and sundry have had on the playing group
