The North assistance is not North's fault.

IMO, it is more to do with promoting the legend that is Coach Clarkson than it is about the football club.

It is a familiar AFL model. Roos at Melbourne was the first beneficiary, and Clarkson will not be the last.

I think it’s wonderful , this great club with its many loyal passionate members that turn up every week rain hail or shine , look they even had to sell their soul and play games in Tassie , which was sad for the hundreds that turn up to their games in Melbourne each week, remember when they got a whopping 20K to their legend Boomers final game . Let’s not forget they have been very unlucky with their trading for elite players i.e Polec , Hall, Walker, Greenwood and how about they’re brilliant theory of getting old legends back to the club , it’s not really they’re fault that one of their board members has to take his shoes of to count past 11, he was a bloody legend of a footballer so can’t believe he hasn’t been a creative genius in the boardroom, so they just needs a little help to get back on track . Let’s face it every club is jealous of that mighty shinboner spirit , I’d imagine that’s what most fans of the game think of when they think AFL , actually I’m not sure where the AFL would be today without Norf , been such a colossus of a club and made the game the powerhouse in Australian sport that it is today.

in all seriousness I think they have a seriously talented young list , ad some high picks again this year and theyll be playing finals again very soon , owe the finals crowds will be ginormous, look out tiketek , the Norf sunami is just starting to gurgle
North will have a very good side in 3-4 years "IF" they can hold it together .

North didn't even come last, and they get priority picks etc.

Absolute joke, merge them with Footscray and be done with it.

DS
Merge with with the Dogs is a good Plan B

Plan A is simply to allow them to continue as a VFL club (if indeed they want that)

The AFL does not need 9 teams from one city

So now the AFL are naming the number 1 draft pick after Allen Aylett ffs ….why
Hmm.

Ex Geelong dude comes to AFL
Rules changed to suit Geelong
- trade formulas go pretty smoothly
- ignoring future swap rules
- stand rule
- belt blokes (RFC) unconscious multiple times and don't get rubbed out for extra at tribunal - nothing is ever 'manifestly inadequate'
- goes back to club as CEO

Ex NM lass comes to AFL
- NM get priority picks for current year and future years (but forced to use them as trades this year so effectively get them anyway even though they aren't until next year and at 'afl's discretion'
- #1 pick named after NM executive

I'm going to join the cookers, post on youtube and start multiple bot twitter accounts spreading this stuff

Gil trying to setting a precedent whereby ex-VFL/AFL head honchos have something named after them
He‘ll have something in mind for his own name - and you can bet it’ll be in his own lifetime too
