AFLHQ pretends it's running a premium sporting competition but it's nothing more than a corrupt marketing machine.

There's no doubt in my mind that our dynasty is the greatest ever.
Our triple Premiership success bucked so hard against this 'competition's' equali$ation* business model that they had to brief their umpires & change the rules to stop us.

And we were compared to Fitzroy hadn't played finals for 10 yrs hadn't made a GF in 30 yrs and we got zero/Zilch.

So a few years back Norf after making the finals regularly retired Boomer Harvey, Petrie, Dal Santo and Firrito at the same time. They haven't looked like playing finals since and are now looking for handouts, self inflicted.

The AFL funding needs to be looked into as well. By do Geelong, Essendon and Adelaide get more than us? They’re all financially viable and profitable clubs.

They can, and will, punish the club and fans, with the fixture.

As a footnote in history we built a dynasty under the most difficult of circumstances, two expansion clubs to contend with, I think we're just beginning to appreciate the remarkable efforts of both Jackson & Hartley in piecing together a top 4 side. I can only hope we're up to the challenge this time around.

This is exactly right and something the media seem to ignore.

What's more, when there was talk of throwing in a priority pick when Hardwick took over as coach, Benny Gale shot it down saying that we'll get ourselves out of the mess we were in. It showed the character of the club at the time, and i guess the confidence Gale had in our people and structures to pull it off. Late 2016, things weren't looknig too good admittedly, but we got there in a big way.

Now that we've come off our peak, at least the AFL can rest from swinging rule change after rule change to topple us.

Now it's time for Clarkeson to show the footy world what a genius he is by coaching a team to a flag that will be loaded with so much talent that even Mark Neeld couch deliver it silverware.
