Little things that annoy you....

Cyclists who pedal their bike up the inside of cars at lights then move the bike in front of said vehicles. Feel like running them over.

You're slow, get outta my way please.

Slow cyclists who use the road when there's a purpose built bike path running along side virtually unused as they clog a car lane. (Beachroad anyone?) :blah

Injured footballers
Foley recurrence of old foot injury, bad luck?
Petterd recurrence of old foot injury, bad luck
Conca had his biggest preseason ever, hamstring after hamstring
Deledio another late start to the season, Achilles, a lesson not learnt
Hampson, calf, not enough rest and recurring, cost a lot of mobility
Drummond, knee bad luck
Knights, soft tissue after knee problems, bad luck
Ashbury the year after knee trauma takes time to regain confidence, better 2016
Kane Lambert shoulder misses half a year
SEdwards breaks leg and returns too quickly on a wasted stump, a little dramatic but ???
CEllis one foot then the other, I hope he puts them both behind him
Ty Vickery, two season ending knee traumas but barely missed a game, tough as old boxing gloves
Ivan, touchy groins I hear, just needs some one brave enough to tell him he's buggered
Thomas is brave enough, another leg, surely knee, slowed his season
Grimes, Griffiths all missed a game or two
And Cotch, is there something chronic developing in our best footballer, apart from his sore feet from a few years ago

No worries larabee. I've heard it discussed before but didn't understand the explanation. Maybe one of the others can explain. I mistakenly thought this was the grammar thread. My question really belongs there.

Cyclists are encouraged to do that by VicRoads, so they can be seen.

More annoying are motorists who try to overtake cyclists at roundabouts who then have to slam on the brakes to make their way around, while cyclists get forced off the road, or into slamming on their brakes.

You're slow, get outta my way please.

Not sure I've contributed much on here. Not much really annoys me to the point of highlighting it. One thing that's getting to me though is my struggle to understand strong Indian accents. Might be some defect in my hearing. Wish I could because they are becoming more and more prevalent in my life. The specialist I'm seeing is one example. She's lovely and I feel embarrassed asking her to repeat herself.

Same here, but I've found Asian accents to be more difficult to decipher. Face to face is OK as you can ask them again, but over the phone (e.g. Foxtel calls) is the really annoying part.

Cyclists is one of my many bug bears.

I'm going to possibly upset a few who cycle and do the right thing.

But this morning , driving my wife to work, on Ferntree Gully Rd, two lane, two cyclists riding next to each other having a good time , instead of in a single file, really got me quite upset. Cars had to move to the only lane available as these two , strolling without any care for motorists behind them and slowly the traffic to a crawl. I got next to them, did a toot and got a two finger salute!

My wife had to calm me down as I wanted to stop in front of them at the lights and let them teach them some manners. I know bad of me. Fortunate she was with me.

They use our roads. Free of charge, yet cars, motorbikes, trucks have to pay for them to use the roads and show motorist and pedestrians such arrogance . We build new lanes for these guys and they contribute not a cent. They should be licenced, a form of a plate , number on their bikes, a registration fee like most of us have to pay for their privilege to ride on the roads.
These sort of behaviours doesn't help their cause amongst us drivers!

I'm not saying to pay a high premium , but $100 something along those lines is warranted.

Waiting, I generally dislike cyclists immensely, but they are allowed to ride two abreast on the roads.

many cyclists are taxpayers. taxes help pay for roads. many cyclists also own cars etc.
not sure how you can say cyclists dont contribute a cent.

Brodders17 they don't contribute a cent to ride on our roads full stop. I pay my taxes too but pay registration . These guys don't!

Midsy if that's the case I'm wrong then! Didn't know they can ride next to each other and take a whole lay. I often see cyclists on the road but they tend to ride single file. Two lanes and they take one lane, peak hour. Maybe I have to read my rule book! My bad!

that is wrong. taxes, along with rego, pay for roads. therefor everyone is entitled to use them in a legal and safe manner.

should pedestrians stay off roads? do you give them the finger if they cross in front of you at a zebra crossing? they are allowed to do it, but they havent paid rego for it.

Obviously you are a cyclist and I got a nerve as I thought I might.

Your analogy and comparison is so different it's stupid to say the least, but that's your opinion.

I will stick to mine as I know many many people who feel the same.

Right now I have an even more dislike for them before !

You just proved a point to me.

Look forward to other discussions with you Brodders17 but this one I will leave it be !
