depressing fact: now that carlton has been confirmed as a participant in this years finals series, we are now the only team left who hasn't made the finals since 2002.

an even more despressing fact: if brisbane and essendon also make the finals (which appears likely), it will mean that every team bar richmond has made the finals since 2006. so in the space of 4 years (2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009), every AFL team bar richmond will have made the finals, with our last apearance being a further 5 years behind in 2001.

To be fair, Miller and Wallace have set us back 10 years not 5 with the impending inclusions of GC and WS.

We on the other hand have made the finals just twice in 27 years.

Defies belief in an era of the draft, top8(16) & the salary cap that we are so continually inept.

I was referring to premierships but I think finals are a long way away too. This current group isn't talented enough and by the time we get some quality talent after GC and WS rape the drafts and give them time to mature, this group will be pushing retirement age. That is of course unless we pull a rabbit out of a hat and get at least 4-5 quality players out of all our picks this year and somehow do the same when we have hardly any early picks over the next few years.

Haha funny you say that, I feel the same way, going to the footy knowing your going to lose but you go anyway and then you go home all depressed after being pumped by nearly 100 points, it the same *smile* we went through 5 years ago, I'm getting sick of it.
