To all those naysayers, now you can see just how important he is to our setup.

Huge loss.

At what stage exactly did we lose him

Re: Welcome to Tigerland - Josh Caddy

Massive loss. Massive.

Cannot underestimate Caddy going down what it meant for our structure.

Re: Welcome to Tigerland - Josh Caddy

Saw today how disfunctional the forward line was without him.

Critical structure player. Sorely missed.

If he's gone Welcome to afl C. Moore.
Nope B. Lennon.

Saw him in the reserves today. He kicked three but did his best work up field.

Agree. As the song goes "you don't know what you got til its gone'.

Big loss.

Re: Welcome to Tigerland - Josh Caddy

Huge loss. Coming into good form at the right time of the year. Hurts outs structure especially with how we use dusty. Lennon most likely to take his spot you would think...but they will also need to get one of Graham, Townsend or Miles in the side to play midfield minutes to release dusty fwd.

Yep was thinking the same. Bring in Lennon and Graham/Miles for Caddy and Soldo.

Low hammy 2 weeks..
That would be a good outcome, it seemed he wasn't to concerned .

Did you mean low as in low grade ? As he had ice up high on the hammy which is a bad sign.

Re: Welcome to Tigerland - Josh Caddy

Everyone says Caddy will come back in but the fella (Townsend) who's been brought in to cover him and he's done an incredible job. That's the like for like replacement right there.
Who's game enough to drop Townsend?

I love the mix that we've got atm currently of speed & grunt. Think we need to be careful not to unbalance that chemistry.

McIntosh might be the unlucky one as he was a bit fumbly but I love Kamdyn's workrate, strength & running.
He positively influences a lot of contests that don't necessarily transcend to the stats sheet.

It'd be a risk but Caddy might need to cool his jets (hammy) for another week. I can't see a need to rush him back.

you are right about balance. that is probably why Graham is most at risk. the 2 who probably contribute the least are Mrakov and McIntosh but they are both runners.

Re: Welcome to Tigerland - Josh Caddy

If he is right, play him.

yesterday I posted to drop Graham for Caddy, however, looking at the replay I've changed my mind. Graham was very good.

Caddy could be used in different roles (centre, mid and forward).

we need the big body players to make an impact.

Who to drop? Markov frees Houli and adds run and we need run against geelong.

Macca provides strength, but has not been clean with his hands the last two games. But shows power (marking and kicking)

Jason hasn't kicked goals lately but adds pressure and did hand over a couple of goals.

Lambert did not has his usual high game standard, but is good against geelong.

The player to be dropped will be unlucky.

Castagna seems the most obvious. His form has completely dropped away.
4 possessions and no goals to go with form over the past month??
That said his speed would be missed. Rioli too has been a bit down on form. But for the same reasons he's unlikely to get dropped either.
Speed kills right now.

Re: Welcome to Tigerland - Josh Caddy

Geelong brushed us aside last time. Another big body would be helpful. Keep Townsend forward and Caddy goes into the guts. Castagna to miss. I also think Short would be an upgrade on Markov.

Re: Welcome to Tigerland - Josh Caddy

News yesterday was that he was going to play in the VFL this week.

Not named.
