Re: Welcome to Tigerland - Josh Caddy

while we are winning, hes playing a role.

but i aint gonna defend him ifn we lose

Re: Welcome to Tigerland - Josh Caddy

Jeepers, between this bloke Lennon and Elton there was a lot of waddling going on in our forward line yesterday.

Re: Welcome to Tigerland - Josh Caddy

Lennon and him are 2 sloths in the forward line. He can't mark above his head and when the ball hits the ground it's all over.

Re: Welcome to Tigerland - Josh Caddy

Felt like reaching through the telly and choking him a few times yesty.

On thin ice!

Re: Welcome to Tigerland - Josh Caddy

I think he can play, just out of form and showing nothing at the moment. Will no doubt be kept in the the lions game even though he doesn't deserve it.

Re: Welcome to Tigerland - Josh Caddy

Saw him run a bit quicker yesterday. Still can't work out what he's supposed to be.

Re: Welcome to Tigerland - Josh Caddy

I'm in the minority but I think he is going well. Came into his own in the wet yesterday.

Re: Welcome to Tigerland - Josh Caddy

Has done a few really classy things in pressure situations. Goal off the ground last week. Clean pick up in the last quarter this week. Give him (and Prestia) a bit of time. Wet weather will suit them. Winter is coming.

Re: Welcome to Tigerland - Josh Caddy

He is what he has always been. 15-20 touches and a goal a game generally. Even if he doesn't develop any further, he's still best 22 easily. Thought his last quarter was excellent after being anonymous much of the day.

Re: Welcome to Tigerland - Josh Caddy

Played as a half forward in his early days at the cattery, was "ok ". Then he wanted to play through the mid field so thats what happened. Again he was "ok ", some good games some average games. His major problem was he tried to play like Dusty in the mid field and break tackles, trouble was he could NEVER break that final tackle. I thought he was gunna be a gun at the cattery, he is an "ok "player. Run of the mill i'd say

Re: Welcome to Tigerland - Josh Caddy

He's such a bland player, makes me wonder what his attributes were that made him go no.6 in 2010.

I look at him as a bit of an enforcer who throws his body around to protect our rolls royces and/or kids. Perfectly suited to this role IMO.

Then did we need to give away pick 26(?) on $400k p.a just to get a workhorse?

Re: Welcome to Tigerland - Josh Caddy

Reminds me of Biddescombe will get exactly the same outcome :spin

Re: Welcome to Tigerland - Josh Caddy

There's a problem. It's been there since Round 1 and it's growing. His defensive running/pressure. They are getting off him.

Even when we put him on Priddis to get Caddy out the back it was the other way around. Priddis running around on his own.

Caddy is underdone. Fair enough. And he lifted dramatically after three-quarter time. Good. But he was in the red at the time.

PYFO, Caddy. The captain is carrying you.

I'm with you. Wasn't impressed yesterday with his game but thought his first 2 were fine, had him in my bests vs Coloungwood.

Yeah, he makes us better. And I think he is a "moment" footballer. The one handed pick up in the last three minutes was crucial. You can't have enough options to put one out in the goal square who make the other coaches box nervous.

A work horse who still worries the opposition enough that they can't just ignore him and double/triple team cotchin or Martin. That's what he brings and imo worth the cost based on results to date.
