JON gone at years End...

DirtyDogTiger said:
it has sooooooooo hurt the club that so many high draft picks in Hughes Oakley's, Pattison, Meyer and now Thompson can't do the business on the field.

Thomson was a high draft pick??

DirtyDogTiger said:
yep

selected by Port at number 11, the pick before Meyer. We got him cheap for a third/fourth rounder

he's not our high draft pick though - we only paid pick 43 for him, so its not fair to rate him as a RFC high draft pick failure

That being said, I still expect him to kick on next year once his injury issues are over

I dont know whats worse - Egans comments or the fact we had recruiters who thought this guy was in the top 10 juniors in the country.,.....geez a true circus.

Good riddance, I can't remember any 1 of his 13 games where he's shown signs of a future.

I remember his 1st game was the dreamtime game a few years. Obviously a politicly correct decision by TW at the time. Was way out of his depth.
Yep, hung onto him for 1, even 2 years too long. Should never have been kept and he was never fair dinkum IMO.
Geez, I reckon it was only this year he put on a bit of beef, went from 36 to 42kg I'd say for a guess.

So?

What has he done, what does he offer, why should he be kept on?

Good bye JON!

Join the others as you walk out the door.

I really hope this is true, he was given one more year than he ever should have been. Miller can take his *smile* X factor and stick it up his arse.

After watching today's game, I am getting the distinct feeling that we will be keeping JON. We are playing a lot of guys at the moment who must be about to get the chop, yet JON, and Hughes for that matter, are not amongst them.

Has me a bit worried. I hope the club has come to its senses here and has a departure ticket already stamped, but a nasty feeling has emerged that these guys are not playing now (I am talking say over the last 5 weeks) because they aren't in the direct firing line.

You could be right I reckon.

McMahon, Brown and King are playing for their careers.

Or perhaps they have decided that JON iss not worth the bother.

Ah Yes, the exicement machine as Wallace described him at the Jells Park family day two years ago. What part of his game are we supposed to get excited about? His poor kicking; his poor decision making or just general lack of ability?

And as for Phil Egan - enough said!!

Pathetic comments and a non-researched article, JON played a game under Rawlings against St Kilda and was an abomination, Couldn't hit a target, was running around directioless and wasn't interested. I remember Lids marked it on defensive 50 and saw JON on his own in the middle and chose to kick to a contest. His own teammates don't have faith in him, the coaching panel has no faith in him, the fans have no faith in him and we're a cellar dweller. The bloke can't get a consistent game in the Burg seniors let alone the Richmond seniors, nothing against him but I'll dead seat eat my hat if another club picked him up. I mean it too, I will eat my DC black cap and toast it to JON if he ends up on another clubs list.

RFC will keep him out fear he'll turn out like Rodan. LOL

Goon on Phil for sticking up for his man.

did he only stick up for him because he's a fellow indigenous brother? if so, does it mean he has a biased opinoin?

Mitch Clark.......... :'(

It's worse than Fiora/Pavlich.

Shaun Higgins and Shannon Hurn also taken after him in the 2005 draft. JON has got to be our worst pick ever. He is a screaming dud. Always has been, always will be.

X factor. Pfffffttt!!! Thanks Francis.

with the new clubs coming in and draft picks being so important there is no club going to give up a pick for him, theres noway!!
