Jack Ross

there's a lot going on in that passage of play by Jack

how's the ball swap from left to right hand after the spin to perform the best handball onto Cotch ... nice!

Showing what a bit of perseverance by club & player can lead to. I think he'll keep improving if he's left to develop at AFL level.

I thought he got pantsed By Hill on the wing. It's not the first time he couldn't kick over the mark. West Coast in 2019 @ the G.
Couldn't kick over Waterman who did the same thing and kicked a goal to tie the scores. At that moment I put a line thru him.

Still makes some mistakes but positives far outweigh those errors. Established himself in the team now and confidence is growing.

Felt for him after the miss and then the D50 turnover

Was hurting bad but linked up again, didn’t go missing

Appears locked in our 23 for a finals run so I’ll hold off until all is said and done for the campaign

Again some blues last night, did spot up Cotch for his first goal with an excellent 40 metre pass, got into some scoring chains.

Another mixed bag night for him. Hill had ac great game.

Hill's pantsed plenty of players while playing on the wing over the years. Yep he flubbed the horror kick into the man on the mark, just as the Saints defender did later in the game. Not Rossy's best game of the year, but he kept working n putting in.
Can't for the life of me understand why some so called fans continually put a line through or bag certain players for not being perfect premium elite players every time they run out, when there's only ever a handful of premium players in the game and they *smile* things up on a fairly regular basis during games.

He was great last night.

The turn over in the backline was awful and punished to the fullest extent possible. But he didn't drop his head.

There's fortitude there.

Got involved immediately after. Crucially, kept looking for the inside kick. And hit them the rest of the game.

He's got something.

Yeah you never get a whole team full of a graders , even in our premiership run we had maligned players that weren’t perfect footballers getting out there performing a role, and they contributed in the end obviously

I think that part gets overlooked sometimes, that the improvement comes from these types not just the top end

Works the corridor. Uses aggressively in the corridor. Is much better in contest..

He dropped off Hill a few times last night. To some extent I think that was the plan. But other times Ross was gassed.

Hill 3 Score Involvement. 0 Score Launch. Ross 3/2. Hill didn't hurt us much.

Made a couple of appalling mistakes that resulted a couple of goals against but overall more that made up for them. I am happy enough to see his name on the team sheet every week

Continues to give his fans and critics reasons to believe they have JR correct .

Yep couple errors , yep couple of very good bits of play , however in my eyes he’s been beaten comfortably beaten by his opponents the last 2 weeks , Aish aint much chop so that’s a worry , Hill was arguably the best wingman going around at one point , however not sure he’s quite been at that lofty level for sometime .

Jack is no doubt improving with continued AFL time , will he be good enough ? most seem to have made their mind up either way

i reckon you're right. we planned to stop run from their wingers Sat night, and i reckon it worked. Wood didnt have much impact on 1 wing, and Hill played well, but his score involvement were low, and a lot of his ball was across half back rather than in attacking positions.

Good take Mr B. Not convinced the wing is his best position but he cant get into our stacked midfield.

Ideally Id have Pickett/kmac on the wings, Baker forward supported by MRJ/Mansell. Where that leaves Ross, not sure.
