Jack Ross

It seems as though the comments made about Ross are the same ones made about Jack Graham . He was spectacular early on in his career but went off the boil. A little maturity and consistency has got him back. Reckon Ross is the same
Graham kicked 3 goals in a Grand Final in his fifth game. Not sure comparisons with Ross are valid.

The problem with highlights videos is you could make one for any player and you could like what you see. I bet you could together a 7 minute package of George and you’d think he was the best small forward in the game.

The trouble is DS - who do you push out of the midfield to make space.

The credit to Ross is they think he is good enough to play on the best 22, just not in his preferred position at the moment.

Indeed, but we have injuries so now is the time to see if he can be effective in the centre (mids play soccer). I agree that I doubt he is best 22, but how many of the best 22 are out?

Keep in mind that highlights package was before his significant ankle injury, then he missed a season of footy last year with no VFL. You can train 'til the cows come home but you can't duplicate the intensity of actual matches against an opposition trying to drive you into the dirt or knock you into next year. His confidence is building and the club is showing they do respect his talents so he needs to be patient and keep working at getting a bit better with his disposal, every training session and every game. For some players the mental scars take longer to heal than the injury itself.

The video highlights link was more in response to ppl saying he never had it. From the video, I think we can see that he certainly did.

Has been the sub 7 times so far this season, named on the wing to replace KMac. Not sure whether he'll play there, thought Parker might be the better suited there.

I thought he was........ok when he came on last week, tomorrow's an opportunity Jack, show us what you've got.

It's also shown us that Caddy's time at Punt Rd is coming to an end

AFL should do away with med sub and keep same rotations with 5 on the interchange

Prestygiocomo hasn't been in there most of the season. Cotch n Shedda have been out of the mid for various reasons as well during the year. Now even the great Dusty one is going to be missing from the middle as well.
There's definitely no need to be pushing anyone out of the mid this year, yet Rossy's been sub week after week n never been given a proper chance to work into a mid field role.
We've rotated other senior players through there n obviously needed to get a look at other developing youngsters in there to see what we've actually got, but Rossy's been basically *smile* around in ever decreasing circles this year.
Stick the kid in the guts for a few games n see what he's got n how he copes. Then if he's struggling or not quite giving us what we need in there, you shift him around to various other options n possibilities to see if he's got something else to give.
Pretty stupid to me if we take away the kids one wood n try to make him play the game with a pitching wedge first up.

You could have made Luke mcguane look like an elite defender in a 7 minute highlight video.
everyone who gets to the AFL has a certain level of talent. Not all can express it consistently enough.

7 times as a sub, sent back to the VFL to learn the Vlastuin role, now selected on the wing.

The RFC has done many, many things correctly in the last few years but this kids development hasn't been one of them.
