Little Ivvy has better spread at VFL level than he's given credit for. He works hard. At 22yo he is ahead of where he should be. Will muck in and will tackle.

At the very least deserves his chance. He'll probably kick a goal or three.

Nanks true value to the side is when he thinks he's Shane Mumford.

If Big Ivan can think he's Shane Mumford for 100 minutes a week, we're gonna be OK.

Balta does the NIC Nat *smile*, Ivan does the Mummy stuff

:hihi

Ladies and gents this could be the first Croatian tandem ruck duo in the history of our game. Exciting times! :D

I reckon someone needs to give his jockstrap a good stretching thwack just before he runs out. I want to see old fashioned angry, like every Richmond Ruck should be. a la Mark Lee and Mike Patterson. Shai could get the job on the jockstrap, he is fast and elusive.

Will be good to see how we go with some ruck tap dominance. Reckon Soldo will show a bit.

Nankervis going down may be a positive with clearances a huge Richmond weakness.
If Soldo can help us just break even in clearances, then we have improved.

Around the ground not that important with our sling shot game plan.
Soldo to position down the line at kick ins, and not be out marked.
Rests in the square, blocks for Lynch and creates a mismatch.

Hopefully soldo is now ready to step up. If nank had had a 8 week injury in 2017 or 18 soldo/team would have been walked over.

Ivan Soldo vs Callum Coleman-Jones - let the battle begin :)

Coleman-Jones 200cm 102kg 20yo.
Soldo 204cm 106kg 23yo

Speed, Endurance, Agility - On VFL viewing only Soldo has him for Endurance, CCJ has Soldo on Speed and Agility
Disposal - line call. Soldo went at 100 % efficiency but takes a while to think through the process.
Both OK in the air. CCJ has taken some really good contested marks of late

I see Soldo as a 85 % ruck / 15% forward and CCJ is at this stage is 45% ruck/55% up front.

Flip of the con for me.

I'm heading to Croatia for a month in mid June.
Once I tell the local lads that all they need to do is be over 200cm and happy to hurt people for a living, we could be inundated with Category B draftees.
As long as they are allowed to crouch and eat Cevapcici at half time

With CCJ's aerial ability i'm starting to think that he might be able to play as a tall forward. Either way he is very promising.

In Dimma’s first sentence describing Soldo, he already warns us he’s got someone else after him. Second sentence he praises CJ.

Dimma is honest, no doubt about that

If anything he’ll give us 1st use.

Will be interesting. What we gain in 1st use we'll lose in his ground level and around the ground work. This is where I'm interested to seeing whether Soldo has improved. For ruck work these are the stats of last 5 games:

- 3 hitouts to advantage for us and 17 for opposition, 33 clearances for us and 42 for opposition
- 8 / 14 and 26 / 36
- 7 / 17 and 36 /38
- 8 / 13 and 28 /29
- 6 / 16 and 34 /35

Last two games we've been pretty well smashed in clearances. Games before that we held our ground clearance wise despite being well beaten in hit outs to advantage.
