Not right until at least Round 9.

Should've had surgery the Sunday after we went out of the finals, not 2 minutes before the start of the season.
Should got Mcevoy

I don't expect Ivy to be Mr Fix-It when he returns. He will have missed so much of the season by the time he gets back that it will take him a while to get back into the swing of things, if at all, in 2014. If our position re finals looks forlorn as his return nears, I would be tempted to put him in mothballs for the remainder of the season and get him right for 2015 rather than risk further long-term issues.

Like others here, I don't know why his surgery was left so late and why he has not been put on the LTIL to allow promotion of another rookie in the interim (aka Miles). Poorly mismanaged by the club.

Maric still listed as 3-4 weeks away. Having missed 4 weeks already, and being injured before the start of the season, why is it that he was not put on the LTIL? That's for an 8 week injury is it not?

Brilliant question. I'd live an answer because we could have had Miles playing footy for the seniors instead of reserves.

LTIL was a stuff up by the club for sure. What do they need to be out for 8 weeks? With our bye in round 8, then he would have had to be back for round 7 which is looking increasingly unlikely. Should have had Miles available. Also, looks as if Stephenson will not play again this season bar a lot of injuries in the ruck, so looks like 2 stuff ups with regards to rookies.

They didn't know Griffo was going to emerge like a Phoenix when they promoted the big O. It was a simply a defensive ploy to provide a back up for Hampson, based on the evidence available at the time.

Zipper.. There is a process with injuries and allot of it is still relatively unknown with resuming high intesity training as much as the trainers will say they know. Im sure he and the club followed advice on offer, he got worse to our bad luck, saying he should have got surgery after finals is forgetting there was 6 months in the middle between that and the surgery.....

Incompetence on the clubs behalf
Maric is our most important player based on the backup we have to replace him
Should of gone under the knife ASAP

Irrespective of the rights and wrongs of not placing Maric on the LTIL, I just want to see him returned only when hie is ready and fully fit, no matter when that may be.

A lot of highly qualified online orthopaedic surgeons clattering away on PRE these days. Got me beat why the club doesn't just read hear and do away with their medical and conditioning staff. Perhaps we could send all players in for preventative tonsillectomies and appendectomies too. Spare me.

Great to see the Big Man back on the field this week. According to Dimma he will play about 60 minutes in the twos. Hope it all goes well and smoothly because the Tigers need Maric up and going as the season progresses. The big fella has been sorely missed.

yeah , Ivan adds an energy to our team. Get him back for Dreamtime

Been reading the earlier threads, gotta LOL at the amateur Orthopaedic Surgeons around this site ;D

Gee we have missed the the big Mullet, i can't wait to see him back in the side, hopefully he is fit enough to come in for the Dream time.

Agree that we miss his presence on the field big time but rather have miss another week and play in the 2nds again than risk him too early

Looked the goods in the VFL - though I was watching it on the tv in the comfort of the Mirboo North brewery.

Only had the three cause they were 13 bucks a glass - but the big mullet looks like a wolf amongst the pups in the VFL

Ive got a case of Moet with a swans friend that X-factor wont play 50 games for the Swans.
