Ivan Maric

Think that he will fill a placing with Lids behind the great one.

And also in the first quarter when they were six to nil and scoring at will. Two more would have ended the contest there and then. There would not have been any concerted fightbacks from that point.

after our first 6 they moved lake to the backline and they got on top of us. It was reminding me of the adelaide game some weeks back.
We got back on top in the 2nd half of the the third quarter, and paralysed them. I think they ran out of puff.

Easy to see he's not fit. We need to pull the pin on his year & have him rested for a 100% assault next year.

Groins can be nightmare things to get over, especially for big men.

Hopefully the coaching staff arent thinking short-term trying to get a couple of cheap wins at the end of the season rather than compromising a valued commodity.

A couple of games for Browne to finish the year will help him as well.

I would like to end his season too, deserves to be protected.....surely browne gus or derickx needs to be servicable.

I totally agree, but they'll probably run him into the ground.

Pfft, he's got 6 months to get over the niggles and another 12 days of a season to go.

Go hard big Ivan. Thanks for a great year. So good to have a warrior ruckman who doesn't need little rests at Round 22.

Should be giving the next two matches a miss.

Nothing to be gained from him playing, he already looks sore and has had a massive workload this year.

Bring in Browne for the last two matches.

Normally i would concur but atm the moment he is priceless to our list with no cover, we sure dont want to do a boobie miles do we?
why risk it.

Agree. If we rested him for a game that actually stuffed up our finals chances, why not rest him for junk time games?

Give Lurch and Gus the next 2 games together so we can say farewell to Gus in R23.

We need to built momentum going into next season, pick the best team available.

When has the building the momentum into next season theory actually worked?

Agree with most he should be rested but I said it a few weeks ago and that is when it should've happened. Now it's obvious it won't happen.

Yep, what happens in rds 22, 23 this season has no bearing on rds 1 and 2 next year but I'd still like to see the best team take the park and win so that means Maric to play.

He's only got what 9-10 weeks from now until pre-season training starts that is vital to every player, not 6 months.

Especially moreso for Ivan when he hasnt been able to get on the track for the past 6 weeks.

He is tired and saw but I am sure there are a few players who have the same concerns playing for us at the moment. Let him play for the last two games and fix him up in the pre season. Dimma said he wasn't going to rest and do surgeries on players before the season ends. We will need Maric if we want to beat Essendon.

Agree, is just reaching for the ball. No spring and struggling to get around the ground.

That 9-10 weeks off is actually the most important time. Get your surgery done, relax and be ready by November to go.

Ivan Maric is now one of our 5 most important players. Have to manage him accordingly.

Gee I reckon Maric has been good in nearly every game. Even against Sandilands. I'm with Hopper, he can rest in 10 days.
