Vickers did release Ivan so played a role on Saturday.

Wasn't really aimed at anyone in particular. FWIW I agree with your thinking re Ivan. His input and output cannot be questioned. Fantastic work by the club to identify him as the Ruckman we needed, and then to actually go and get him to Punt Rd. Awesome. Even better is his impact on the club and his team mates.

Ty is abot underrtaed as a ruckman. Have a look at the replay at teh last two minutes of teh third where Ivan takes a couple of grabs. Both result from two beuatiful hit outs by Vickery. The first to Grigg from a bounday throw in and the second a beautiful spoon fed centre clearance tap.

Yes, TY's been rucking very well all season. He just isn't getting the ball, which is surprising, particularly when he plays in the ruck for those 5-7 mins considering his mobility. He seems to just be walking around the packs a lot not really looking to impact them at the moment.
 
Anyone just listen to sen? Ivan is most definitely the flavour of the month right now when Greg champion and others are doing songs on him :rofl

I dont get to see games live, but I look out for TV on the telly as he's a favourite of mine. IMHO he's doing all of the right things - leading, getting into space in the middle, etc but his team mates aren't hitting him up. Either his team mates have lost a little confidence in him, or he's just been unlucky that there's always someone else in better spot, hard to tell on the telly, but that's what it looks like to me.

When in the ruck the telly shows Vickery clearly standing around the packs just watching whereas Maric is like Kreuzer, head down looking for the ball and pouncing when it is close by.
Behind play it is night and day. Maric is just pounding out the sprints and TV is never getting out of a canter until the ball is close by so as a result he is missing the contests. Maybe he is just feeling the effects of a limited pre-season but Vicks should really be watching how Maric is running behind play and replicating it.
 
SEN have a monthly contest if you want to call it that whereby the player of the month is nominated.

The 3 players vying for the month of May's vote where Collingwoods Pendlebury & Beams and Richmonds Ivan Maric. You guessed it guys- IVAN MARIC won.

What an extraordinary month Maric has had.

Let's hope it doesn't end this Friday being June 1.

He put in a monster of a game tonight - he was totally spent in that last quarter.... Hope he gets good recovery sessions this week as he now has Sandilands to get over next week...
