I can't remember the last time we had a player who so obviously enjoyed violence. Much love.

Nice point, but I think when you're 4 foot tall it's not the same as when Maric, Stafford or Andy Goodwin used to bring the pain.

Just have to love the way Frank Spencer cringed when Jakey cocked the fist and threatened to flatten him again if he got back up to quick.

kingy thinks he's 6'5". you gotta love the push up

Gun ruck. 46 hitouts, 20 touches. Constantly gets back and takes big contested marks. BOG.

Was very good today but he was only against Renouf and Stewart.

Lucky Mumford won't be back for Sydney next week - might get a good run against Seaby.

Maric = reincarnation of Balme.
Bit like Mark Lee I was thinking.

It just shows what a dearth of even above average ruckman we have had the last few decades that a second stringer from another club can be bought in and a be so highly regarded after 1/2 a dozen games.

It's so true. Now everyone is clear that Gus just isn't up to it. Need to make a plan to never let the ruck stocks be that poor ever again.

But Maric is doing everything you want from your ruck. Makes the backline look so much better when you have a big man that can read the play and drop into the hole.

I think it's great that Gus is playing well at Coburg because it might mean someone else wants him at the end of the year - as long as Maric stays injury free Gus won't see senior action again.
