Ivan Maric

Held his own in ruck contests against a quality proven ruckman in Jolly and easily did better around the ground. So top marks for Maric tonight.
 
That chase and tackle was something else. Drifting back to take marks in defence as well.

Pure physical footballer, his ability to play the game makes up for a hint of lack of height and athleticism. I'm sold.

That chase and tackle even had the Collingwood supporter next me clapping his effort. Great stuff Maric.

But he is going to need help as the season goes on.
 
Love watching the mullet, taps to advantage,clunks his marks ,hits his targets & gives chase to apply pressure at all times, this is a team player.
Hopefully our young rucks can learn from him how much effort is required at the top level.

Yep. Definitely needs support and Vickery ain't it.

Why do we think that Vicklery has gone backwards in regards to rucking? Every time he goes into the ruck I think he competes well. Just under 10 taps in limited time this week and last in the ruck. If anything he is performing better there than up forward this season. He will become an accomplished ruck over the next couple of years.
 
I admire the bloke's courage and I love the mad stare. I shudder to think how much worse it would have been if the side hadn't picked him up.
 
Pick 30 odd for iVan is looking like an absolute bargain.
