And therein lies our problem.

Steady as she goes at RFC.....

Looks like we are going in with the dynamic ruck duo of Maric and Hampson.

Oh dear......

Unbelievable. We are wasting a senior list spot on a playing assistant VFL coach.

This sums it up. We weren't prepared to lose him to another club in that role so we put him on the senior list and will be paying him accordingly.

This club never seems to amaze me. Still can't believe people actually think this mob knows what its doing simply because they signed Balme. ::)

Yep.
Balme's got his work cut out.
He's surrounded by serial underachievers.
The Maric extension is laughable.
Be glad to see the back of Blair Hartley and the rest of his ilk.
How long do we have to wait?

Bad decision but what would I know.

Sums it up. Afraid to lose him to the Pies possibly so we sign him up.

Showed in the few games he played the big guy wasn't up to it. Even in the few games I saw him in the reserves he showed that his body was shot. Played the odd good game but that was it!

As much as I've admired him the club can't make some hard calls.

What's the bet Deleido gets traded but we keep the warrior on who showed in the final last year that his body couldn't do what he wanted it to do.

We cooked him and I guess the club may feel obliged to give this 1 yr contract on the SENIOR list.

At worst why couldn't he go on the rookie list and help the younger guys in the reserves develop and if his form warranted it and we lost Hampson he can play. ????

Anyway nothing really changes!

Ivvy moved like a Brontosaurus last year at senior level.
I thought we'd moved past the 'insurance policy' way of thinking but why should we expect different results with Blair still in the chair.

RFC should have signed Maric onto the VFL team and paid him some decent coin as a mentor and development coach in the ressies.

If Nankervis comes over even this tired line will be irrelevant. Thought we were just starting to get our house in order with the rookie draft and now this pathetic decision.

...that's pure speculation. Can you provide any evidence that the Brontosaurus was that slow?

The one bloke spewing we got Nankervis. Ivy now back up to the back up.
