As ruthless as it is, I agree that Ivan is past it. I felt sorry for him last time he played in the seniors, it was awful.
 
If we don't pick up another ruck who can carry senior first ruck duty then keeping Ivan as a rookie or 44th player might make sense. Hamspter and big Ben are injury prone. If we want to give it a decent shot of finals next year we need a ruckman.
 
Can Soldo handle extended first ruck duties? I'm all for the kids but with Hamspter and Big Ben hurt a lot, we might be in trouble. Unless they've decided to turn Elton into a ruckman this year.
 
There is talk that Collingwood is interested in Maric as a back-up ruckman.
Happy to see him offered a development role at RFC, but his time, somewhat sadly, is over as a senior-listed AFL footballer.

If we cant find a backup ruckman better than Ivvy from the state league's or from another AFL club we havent got the nouse for finals anyway Baloo.

He's finished unfortunately.

yeah, can't argue with that, but we are talking about Richmond
 
North can come out and say boomer is gone before the season is over
And there's us who can not make one simple decision
Hes finished can't run and can't jump over a football
 
My guess is we're only keeping him for his leadership skills and if we can't find anyone better via trade/free agency, hence the silence on him.

Probably been told he'll be a rookie choice only and given some develooment coaching responsibility.

I think this is a poor decision by RFC. He is finished as an AFL footballer.
Instead, why not de-list and then employ him as a development or assistant coach to the VFL team?
