Ivan Maric

Who was that bearded ruckman who kept looking finished then kept coming out of retirement getting a rookie/ coaching gig as backup? The ruck who would not die. Foots/ Bris/ Coll? forget his name, but Ivan could do that. I'd be surprised but he could.

Denham said this morning that Ivy won't be at Punt road next, but would be somewhere else, even though his only 30 and a handy back ups back up id be surprised he'd get another year.

Yeah he'll be somewhere else, maybe serving patties at McDonalds.

Why? I reckon he has zero chance of making a list next year. And that's no disrespect to his career, he's been fantastic for us over the years.

I agree, but reckon he's probably got a few more options than working at Maccas. But if no disrespect was meant then no worries.

Can't see the Warrior being retained beyond this season and, in all honesty, can't see any other club picking him up. Maric's days are done.
When the Tigers' season is officially shot I would like to see Maric selected for a farewell game. He deserves to finish his time at RFC on the ground in the seniors.

2 years ago Maric was considered arguably our most important player and elevated to the leadership group.
Biggest fall from grace on our list and it's hurt us bigtime failing to find a decent replacement.
Before anyone jumps in Hammer is not anywhere near what Ivy was giving us at his best.

Age can quickly catch up especially with big blokes like Maric who are not athletically gifted.

And your 100% right about Hampson. It's an indictment on our list management team that we are in this predicament.

At his best Ivvy gave us onfield leadership. He was a driving force.

Bang on Jack. He was also like an extra clearance player at the fall of the ball and gave his mids a chop out with his physicality.
Also we really miss that ability he had to take a strong contested mark when we really needed it.
Hampson can only dream of some of the assets the Mullet had.

Short sighted by the club to not have some sort of a succession plan beyond an injury prone Carlton reject.

We need another big strong bloke with big balls. One (Rance) is not enough.

I'm very anti ruck and even I think we're one ruck light, Carn.

Hammer put the ball down our midfielders throats today and was far from a liability.

Sorry Caesar? Never said he was. Hurt his knee in the last quarter and may not play next week.

Yeah glass legs has broken down again. Warm up ivvy.

Still cold. Has been our biggest liability tonight and that's saying something. Even his aggression and blocking is gone. Needs to retire.
