Over the top Spook. Ivan can struggle on occasions but can also play some great footy; witness 2 games ago against Hawthorn. He was colossal.

Hampson would have been lucky to play half a dozen decent games in his career. Can't mark, can't kick.

Agree. I watched the game again and Ivvy was absolutely thrashed by Jacobs as he has been against some other rucks this year.
At least with Hammer we broke even with a lot of the taps. Jacobs was knocking it down the Crows mids with regularity when up against Ivvy.

I'd start the transition now. Tell Shaun he's the number 1 ruck and play Ivvy at CHF.
Bring in McBean next to Jack and take Vickery out. He's a nowhere man who should be traded.

Intresting ideas ToO....my biggest dissapoinment against the Crows was the smashing of our mids , Dangerfield , Thompson, Sloane an Crouch are bloody good an hard in tight, but our mids just couldn't seem to adjust to Jacobs dominance

Jacobs is a fine ruck bit also Scott Thompson is an underrated beauty Charlie Cameron. We love Miles because of his hardness but Thompson is one tough hombre who did some intimidating of his own.

agree 100% on Ivan, mostly agree on hampson. Has shown he can take marks though, just needs to do it more.

Even if Ivan is being beaten in the ruck he does well around the ground.

The problem is that Ivan's good games are becoming the exception rather than the rule.

Ivan will struggle against the cream of the ruckmen ( eg Sandilands, Goldstein, Jacobs) so its up to the powers that be to get a ruckman that doesnt.

Hammer's played at least one good game for us and that's more than Derrickx ever did. When playing for us Derrickx gave me the impression that the first time he'd seen a football in his life was 5 minutes before the game. I can't recall seeing a worse ruck man for the RFC, even Lounder kicked a few goals in his first game.

You can't get away with just winning ruck contests these days. Maric is much better around the ground then Hampson, also much better at winning contested ball when it hits the ground. Getting 1 disposal in a whole game of footy just doesn't cut it in today's game.

It takes heart and guts to do what Maric does. Vickery has neither. Vickery only hits when they are not watching.

Vickery has never hit a pack like that; ever. And those that want Hampson to replace him? Hampson couldn't take a mark like that if he had a million goes at it.
